摘要: A method for manufacturing a personalized bionic artificial cervical disc prosthesis and a prosthesis can include establishing a three-dimensional simulation model of a cervical spine with a degenerated cervical disc; modifying morphological structures and material properties of the degenerated cervical disc to obtain a three-dimensional simulation model of the artificial cervical disc prosthesis; implanting the three-dimensional simulation model of the artificial cervical disc prosthesis into the three-dimensional simulation model of the cervical spine, applying a load to the three-dimensional simulation model of the cervical spine to mimic physiological motion of the cervical spine, and calculating kinematics and biomechanical indexes of an implanted segment and adjacent segments; adjusting the three-dimensional simulation model of the artificial cervical disc prosthesis until the abnormal ICR can be corrected and optimum biomechanical effects can be obtained after the prosthesis is implanted; and manufacturing the artificial cervical disc prosthesis.

The devices and methods enhance the ability of a surgeon to repair a patent's dura mater, or dura, during surgery of the central nervous system. The dural repair device has a multi-layer structure configured to exert a pressure or tamponade effect to compress a patient's dura to its state prior to the spinal surgery. Thus, the dural repair devices and methods of use may reduce the patient's risk morbidity, further surgery, spinal headaches, or other injuries and discomforts.

摘要: Proposed is a hybrid ceramic prosthesis. Since the prosthesis is made of a novel hybrid ceramic material, the prothesis has a similar color and transmittance to natural teeth, minimizes tooth removal during preparation for placement of the prothesis, is securely attached to the target tooth by snap-fit fastening to prevent detachment of the prothesis and re-treatment caused by the prothesis detachment, and can be more conveniently applied to the patient than conventional prostheses, enabling an one-day-one-stop dental procedure, thereby reducing burden to patients. The prothesis is useful as a primary crown.

An osteomyelitis treatment device having an insert that is insertable into an osteomyelitis part in a human body, and a plurality of light-emitting members provided to the insert to emit light is also provided. The plurality of light-emitting members can be spaced apart from each other, and a part of the insert can be cut or bent to correspond to the shape of the osteomyelitis part.

摘要: A method of forming cured microparticles includes providing a poly(glycerol sebacate) resin in an uncured state. The method also includes forming the composition into a plurality of uncured microparticles and curing the uncured microparticles to form the plurality of cured microparticles. The uncured microparticles are free of a photo-induced crosslinker. A method of forming a scaffold includes providing microparticles including poly(glycerol sebacate) in a three-dimensional arrangement. The method also includes stimulating the microparticles in the three-dimensional arrangement to sinter the microparticles, thereby forming the scaffold having a plurality of pores. A scaffold is formed of a plurality of microparticles including a poly(glycerol sebacate) thermoset resin in a three-dimensional arrangement. The scaffold has a plurality of pores.
