Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information indicating at least one of a first set of peak reduction tones (PRTs) for uplink communication, or a second set of PRTs for downlink communication, for use in a full-duplex communication mode. The first set of PRTs and the second set of PRTs may share at least one PRT. The UE may transmit, to the base station, or receive, from the base station, at least one signal based at least in part on the at least one of the first set of PRTs or the second set of PRTs. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects relate using peak reduction tones on a supplementary uplink to reduce peak to average power ratio on the supplementary uplink. For example, when a UE elects to switch from a primary carrier (e.g., a 5G NR carrier) to an SUL carrier (e.g., in a limited coverage scenario), the UE may use a defined set of PRTs to transmit data on the SUL carrier. In some examples, PRTs may be used on multiple carriers. For example, a first set of PRTs may be defined for an SUL carrier and a second set of PRTs may be defined for another carrier.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a physical uplink shared channel communication using a resource associated with a configured grant. The UE may transmit, in connection with transmitting the physical uplink shared channel communication, a scheduling request. A base station (BS) may monitor for the physical uplink shared channel communication and the scheduling request. The BS may selectively communicate with the UE to schedule a retransmission of the physical uplink shared channel communication based at least in part on a result of the monitoring. Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to selection and use of peak reduction tones (PRTs) including obtaining a predetermined sequence of PRTs corresponding to a set of granted resources including a plurality of tones, mapping a set of data to a first subset of the plurality of tones outside of the predetermined sequence of PRTs and mapping a set of PRTs to a second subset of the plurality of tones within the predetermined sequence of PRTs. At least one peak of a time domain representation of the first subset of the plurality of tones is canceled using a time domain representation of the second subset of the plurality of tones. A transmitted waveform comprising the first subset of the plurality of tones and the second subset of the plurality of tones is transmitted.

Abstract: A transmitting device communicates with a receiving device an indication to apply PAPR reduction for a data transmission. The transmitting device applies a first PAPR reduction signal and a second PAPR reduction signal to the data transmission to reduce at least one signal peak of the data transmission to yield a transmission signal, where the first PAPR reduction signal includes a first set of PRTs that does not overlap with data tones and the second PAPR reduction includes a second set of PRTs that overlaps with the data tones and does not overlap with reserved tones. The transmitting device transmits the transmission signal to the receiving device.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to bandwidth-efficient utilization of peak reduction tone resource are provided. An example method of wireless communications performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station in a first subband, a resource allocation indicating a set of transmission tones comprising a set of first data tones, a set of second data tones and a set of peak reduction tones (PRTs). The resource allocation can indicate the set of first data tones overlaps at least a portion of the set of PRTs at respective locations of a set of PRT locations and the set of second data tones is arranged at a set of data tone locations within a particular bandwidth. The UE can communicate, with the base station in a second subband, a data transmission using an outgoing waveform based at least in part on the resource allocation.

Abstract: Aspects relate to technologies and techniques for sequence-based, non-coherent wireless channel transmission of a payload on a physical uplink channel. A transmitter converts information bits of a payload to be transmitted to a decimal integer value that is, in turn, used to generate a modified maximum sequence (m-sequence) based on one or more predetermined parameters such as an m-sequence generating polynomial, a starting location in the sequence, and an initialization. The generated modified m-sequences are modulated using modulation schemes such as π/2 binary phase-shift keying and quadrature phase-shift keying for transmission on the physical uplink channel.
