Abstract: Systems and methods for presenting an augmented reality within a custom graphic are provided. In example embodiments, one or more hardware processors may receive an image, identify candidate shape features in the image, identify a custom graphic by comparing the candidate shape features with a reference shape feature of the custom graphic, identify an optical barcode based on the identified custom graphic, identify an augmented reality based on the optical barcode, and transmit the augmented reality to the client device.

Abstract: Embodiments for communicating and displaying collections of image and video clip content with an opt-out interstitial are described. In one example embodiment, a device receives interface information about a group of content collections from a server computer system. When a user inputs a selection of a first content collection, the device displays images and video clips in a sequence defined by the content collection. Each piece of content is displayed for less than a threshold display time. When the device finishes playing the first content collection, the device presents an opt-out interstitial. Additional content collections generated from content submitted by other client devices can be received from the server computer system, and are presented based on a response input, or a lack of response input, to the opt-out interstitial. Some embodiments include content collections generated by the server computer system, as well as advertising elements presented between content collections.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for suggesting modifications for an image using one or more machine learning models. The methods and systems select, by an interaction application, an individual content item from a plurality of previously captured content items that matches one or more criteria corresponding to sharable content and generate a prompt comprising the individual content item and a request for a plurality of suggested modifications to the individual content item. The methods and systems process the prompt by a large language model (LLM) to generate the plurality of suggested modifications to the individual content item and generate a modified individual content item corresponding to an individual suggested modification of the plurality of suggested modifications.

Abstract: A method, to manage an event invitation in a computer network environment, comprises presenting, using one or more processors, an event invitation creation indicium to a first user on a user interface of a computing device. Responsive to user selection of the event invitation creation indicium, an event creation interface is presented to receive event details. Responsive to receipt of the event details, an event invitation message is generated for communication, via a messaging system, by the first user to a second user of the messaging system, the event invitation message including a join indicium that is user-selectable to join a group chat related to the event. Responsive to a message send input from the first user, the event invitation message is sent, via the messaging system, from the first user to the second user. A request is received, from the second user, a request to join the group chat related to the event. A group chat message thread, associated with an event group including at least the first user and the second user, is then stored within the messaging system.

Abstract: A technique for deriving a mashup is described. Given a collection of media content items for sequential playback, a subset of the media content items are selected for inclusion in a mashup, based on selection criteria specified in a template associated with the featured story. The subset of media content items are then arranged in a mashup, which is prepended to the story. By automatically generating a mashup—an abbreviated version of a story—the mashup will increase user engagement and encourage sharing, because the mashup condenses the content into a more digestible and captivating format. By using optimized content selection criteria, the mashup will include only the best and most impactful moments, highlights, or key elements of the story. The shorter version grabs the viewer's attention, maintaining their interest and prompting them to share the condensed experience with others, enticing them to discover the full story.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a method for managing chat conversation retention models. The method may include causing display of an interface that enables a user to select one of multiple retention models for association with an electronic chat conversation, and receiving, via the selector interface, a selection of a particular retention model. The retention model specifies an amount of time that each individual message in the electronic chat conversation is accessible upon being read by a receiving user. The method further includes storing a newly received message as part of the chat conversation, where the storing includes configuring a retention duration attribute for the message in accordance with the amount of time specified by the retention model. The method further includes erasing the message in accordance with the retention duration attribute.

In an aspect, the chatbot system generates messages that are used on the interactive platform for group chats with multiple users and 1:1 chats with a single user. In another aspect, a user may customize a chatbot to create a personal chatbot having a persona. In some examples, prompts to the chatbot from the user are analyzed to filter out abusive language and/or harmful content.
