Abstract: A hierarchical data structure has sets of nodes representing a 3D space of an environment at different granularity levels. Sets of neural networks at different granularity levels are trained. For a portion of an output image, a granularity level at which the portion is to be reconstructed is determined. A corresponding node is identified; the node having sets of child nodes. A set of child nodes is selected at the granularity level at which the portion is to be reconstructed. For a child node, a cascade of neural networks is utilised to reconstruct the portion. Granularity level of N+1th neural network is higher than that of Nth neural network. Input of a neural network includes outputs of at least a predefined number of previous neural networks.

Abstract: There is provided a signal processing device and a signal processing method capable of accurately acquiring distance information in a case where a transparent subject is present. The signal processing device includes an acquisition unit that acquires histogram data of a flight time of irradiation light to a subject, a transparent subject determination unit that determines whether or not the subject is a transparent subject on the basis of peak information indicated by the histogram data and three-dimensional coordinates of the subject calculated on the basis of the histogram data, and an output unit that outputs the three-dimensional coordinates of the subject in which color information or three-dimensional coordinates of the subject is corrected on the basis of a transparent subject determination result of the transparent subject determination unit. The technology of the present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a signal processing device and the like that corrects distance information acquired by a ToF sensor of a direct ToF system.

Abstract: An image rendering method and apparatus, a device, and a medium. Abstract: A method and a system for visibility clarification in color images and videos is disclosed. The method includes obtaining a plurality of raw images using a digital or analog camera and determining parameters for a clarification filter in an image processing software. Further, the plurality of raw images is processed to filter the plurality of raw images using the clarification filter, wherein the clarification filter normalizes coefficients with respect to a local energy density and computes the synthesis multiscale transform based on the normalized coefficients. Additionally, the method includes displaying the processed plurality of raw images via clarifying software to obtain a clear video image in real time, wherein the clarifying software is a combination of the imaging processing software and the clarification filter.

Abstract: An image generation device divides a distorted-image plane into pixel blocks in order to generate a distorted image in consideration of the distortion and chromatic aberration of an eyepiece. In the plane of a source image, the image generation device determines individual RGB sample positions included in the pixel blocks, sets a bounding rectangle containing the individual RGB sample positions, and determines, for example, computation target pixels corresponding to the bounding rectangle. The image generation device calculates the pixel values of, for example, the computation target pixels, interpolates and samples the calculated pixel values, and regards the results of interpolation and sampling as the pixel values of the distorted image.
