Stable ophthalmic formulations comprising hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) as the primary active demulcent ingredient, stabilized oxy-chloro complex (available commercially as OcuPure™ from Advanced Medical Optics, Purite® from Allergan, and Purogene from Biocide) for preservative efficacy, balanced salts mimicking the tear film, and sodium borate as a buffer are disclosed. In one embodiment, preferred stable formulations may be used in the human eye with or without contact lenses. In another embodiment preferred formulations may also be used as a storage and conditioning solution for contact lenses following disinfection.

Abstract:
Gallium nitride material transistors and methods associated with the same are provided. The transistors may be used in power applications by amplifying an input signal to produce an output signal having increased power. The transistors may be designed to transmit the majority of the output signal within a specific transmission channel (defined in terms of frequency), while minimizing transmission in adjacent channels. This ability gives the transistors excellent linearity which results in high signal quality and limits errors in transmitted data. The transistors may be designed to achieve low ACPR values (a measure of excellent linearity), while still operating at high drain efficiencies and/or high output powers. Such properties enable the transistors to be used in RF power applications including third generation (3G) power applications based on W-CDMA modulation.

The present invention relates to a newly identified human agmatinase-like arginase, designated “25312”. The invention also relates to polynucleotides encoding the agmatinase-like arginase. The invention further relates to methods using the agmatinase-like polypeptides and polynucleotides as a target for diagnosis and treatment in disorders mediated by or related to the agmatinase-like arginase. The invention further relates to drug-screening methods using the polypeptides and polynucleotides to identify agonists and antagonists for diagnosis and treatment. The invention further encompasses agonists and antagonists based on the polypeptides and polynucleotides. The invention further relates to agonists and antagonists identified by drug screening methods with the polypeptides and polynucleotides as a target.

A lubricating oil composition suitable for use in low or medium speed diesel engines comprises a fuel oil with a residual oil content characterised in that the lubricating oil composition further comprises a hydrocarbyl-substituted phenate concentrate having a TBN greater than 300, and at least one of a hydrocarbyl-substituted salicylate and a hydrocarbyl-substitute sulphonate. The hydrocarbyl-substituted phenate is preferably one modified by incorporation of a carboxylic acid of the formula RCH(R.sub.1)CO.sub.2 H where R is a C.sub.10 -C.sub.24 alkyl group and R.sub.1 is hydrogen or a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group e.g. stearic acid.

A detergent concentrate composition suitable for incorporation into a finished lubricating oil comprises: (A) an additive concentrate comprising: (a) a lubricating oil, and (b) a lubricating oil soluble sulphurized or non-sulphurized alkaline earth metal hydrocarbyl phenate modified by reaction to incorporate from greater than 2 to less than 40% by weight based on the weight of the concentrate (A) of either (i) at least one carboxylic acid having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a C.sub.10 to C.sub.24 alkyl or alkenyl group and R.sup.1 is either hydrogen, a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group or a --CH.sub.2 --COOH group, or an anhydride or ester thereof, or (ii) a di- or polycarboxylic acid containing from 36 to 100 carbon atoms or an anhydride or ester thereof, the concentrate having a BN greater than 300 and a viscosity at 100.degree. C. of less than 1000 cSt, and (B) an additive concentrate comprising: (a) a lubricating oil, and (b) a lubricating oil soluble sulphurized or non-sulphurized alkaline earth metal hydrocarbyl phenate, that has not been modified or has been modified by reaction to incorporate less than 0.1% by weight based on the weight of the concentrate (B) of either (i) or (ii), the concentrate preferably having a BN of less than 300.
