Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a network entity scheduling a set of multiple periodic tracking reference signals (TRSs) and indicating a transmission power level for the periodic TRSs. For example, the control signaling may be received via radio resource control (RRC). The UE may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message from the network entity indicating an adjustment to the transmission power level and a resource for an aperiodic TRS. The UE may monitor the resource for the aperiodic TRS in accordance with the indicated adjustment to the transmission power level. The UE may transmit a message to the network entity indicating a measurement of the aperiodic TRS based on the adjustment to the power level. The adjustment to the power level may apply to one or more of the set of multiple periodic TRSs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a configuration for performing channel sensing. The configuration may include one or more parameters corresponding to a processing time associated with the channel sensing. The UE may adjust the processing time associated with the channel sensing based on the one or more parameters and a full duplex capability of the first UE. The UE may transmit, using a first set of resources, a sidelink message based on the adjusted processing time. In some examples, the UE may transmit a first data message associated with a first priority level and perform channel sensing for a second data message associated with a second priority level that is higher than the first priority level. The UE may drop the first data message, skip an interference cancellation, or a combination thereof.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of a capability associated with maintaining phase continuity and power consistency for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling between a full-duplex slot and a half-duplex slot. The UE may transmit a first signal during a first slot of a first time domain window (TDW) associated with the DMRS bundling. The UE may determine whether to terminate the first TDW based on the capability associated with maintaining the phase continuity and the power consistency between the full-duplex slot and the half-duplex slot. The UE may transmit a second signal during a second slot of the first TDW or a second TDW based on the determination of whether to terminate the first TDW.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to obtaining a duplex mode of a scheduled entity, selecting a downlink-uplink (DU) slot interpretation to be applied by the scheduled entity to a slot including a DU symbol based on the duplex mode of the scheduled entity, and transmitting the DU slot interpretation to the scheduled entity. The DU symbol may be configured to include a downlink transmission and an uplink transmission within a same carrier bandwidth. Other aspects relate to receiving a message, indicating that the slot is formatted with a DU symbol, selecting a DU slot interpretation to be applied to the slot including the DU symbol based on a duplex mode of the scheduled entity, and applying the DU slot interpretation to the slot. Other aspects, examples, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: A user equipment may be configured to implement a procedure for combining half-duplex and full-duplex channel state information (CSI) into a single report. In some aspects, the user equipment may receive uplink control information configuration information including one or more parameters for multiplexing half-duplex (HD) channel state information (CSI) and full-duplex (FD) CSI as a combined CSI report, and receive a first reference signal associated with a HD mode and a second reference signal associated with a FD mode. Further, the user equipment may transmit, to a base station, the combined CSI report based on the one or more parameters, the first reference signal, and the second reference signal.

Generally, a base station may dynamically and reliably indicate that pending transmissions are part of a full duplex operation via downlink control information (DCI) designs described herein. For example, a base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE) a DCI including no more than one downlink grant and no more than one uplink grant for a full duplex operation. In some examples, the base station may transmit a first-stage DCI including partial information, and second-stage DCIs including full uplink and downlink grants for a full duplex operation. In some examples, the base station may configure periodic or semi-periodic uplink and downlink resources that may overlap in time, and may dynamically indicate, to the UE, whether the overlapping uplink and downlink resources are scheduled for a full duplex operation.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message from a base station indicating a configuration of an uplink waveform for full-duplex communications at the UE. The UE may receive an additional control message scheduling a set of uplink resources and a set of downlink resources for the full-duplex communications. The set of uplink resources and the set of downlink resources may at least partially overlap in a time-domain. A frequency-domain gap between the set of uplink resources and the set of downlink resources may be based on the first uplink waveform and a first downlink waveform used by the base station. The UE may communicate with the base station on the set of uplink resources and the set of downlink resources in accordance with the frequency-domain gap.

A base station may identify that the base station is going to enter a communication state associated with a capability limitation where the base station does not support at least one communications application while operating in the communication state. The communication state may be a power saving mode. The base station may transmit a message to a user equipment (UE) indicating the capability limitation(s) associated with the communication state, and communicate with the UE according to the capability limitation(s). The base station may identify that the base station has scheduled communications with a UE in accordance with an SPS configuration or a configured grant. The base station may transmit a message to the UE indicating an update for the SPS configuration or the configured grant based on a capability limitation associated with the communication state.
