Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may prioritize a transmission scheme for a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state for receiving a downlink message from one or more transmission reception points (TRPs). The UE may receive a downlink control message via a first carrier that schedules a downlink signal for the UE via a second carrier. The UE may select one or more TCI states for reception of the downlink signal based at least in part on the prioritization of the first transmission scheme. The UE may receive the downlink signal via the second carrier in accordance with the selected one or more TCI states.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communications in a network are provided. A first wireless communication device may perform in a shared radio frequency band during a first portion of a frame period, a first listen-before-talk (LBT) using a first beam characteristic. Additionally, the first wireless communication device may perform in the shared radio frequency band during a second portion of the frame period, a second LBT using a second set of beam characteristics different from the first beam characteristic. The first wireless communication device may communicate with a second wireless communication device in the shared radio frequency band during the second portion of the frame period, one or more communication signals using the second set of beam characteristics. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a priority rule for selecting to monitor a first beam associated with a first broadcast transmission or a second beam that differs from the first beam and is associated with a unicast transmission. The UE may use the priority rule when a scheduling conflict is identified between the first broadcast transmission and the unicast transmission. Such conflicts may include at least one of a broadcast transmission, a control resource set (CORESET) monitoring occasion of the broadcast transmission, or reference signals of the broadcast transmission at least partially overlapping with a unicast transmission, a CORESET monitoring occasion of the unicast transmission, or reference signals associated with the unicast transmission. The UE may monitor, in accordance with the priority rule, one of the first beam or the second beam based on identification of scheduling conflict.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A serving cell may configure one or more neighbor cells to perform measurements on sounding reference signals (SRSs) received from a user equipment (UE). The serving cell and a subset of the one or more neighbor cells may then transmit data to the UE in a single frequency network (SFN) transmission based on the SRS measurements. For instance, the serving cell may determine whether to add each of the one or more neighbor cells to an SFN cell group for an SFN transmission to a UE based on measurements performed by each neighbor cell on SRSs received from the UE. A neighbor cell of the one or more neighbor cells may also determine which beam to use for an SFN transmission to a UE based on measurements performed by the neighbor cell on SRSs received from the UE.

A sequential technique may be used for configuring MIMO communications, in which analog RF beamforming parameters are determined based on reference signal measurements during a beam sweeping procedure. Then, digital baseband beamforming parameters may be determined and used for baseband processing of two or more MIMO streams. The digital baseband beamforming parameters may include baseband precoding parameters used for transmitting the two or more MIMO streams on the two or more beams, and baseband combiner parameters used for receiving the two or more MIMO streams on the two or more beams.

A user equipment (UE) in communication with a serving base station may identify that the UE is a potential victim of interference from a neighboring base station. The UE may transmit an interference coordination message to the neighboring base station. The interference coordination message may request modification of one or more transmission parameters at the neighboring base station. The neighboring base station may modify its transmission parameters to decrease interference with the UE, and the UE may communicate with the serving base station after transmitting the interference coordination message.

Abstract: The described techniques provide for efficiently monitoring for control information from a single transmission-reception point (TRP) after transitioning from a multi-TRP operation mode to a single-TRP operation mode. If a user equipment (UE) is communicating with a first TRP and a second TRP in a multi-TRP operation mode, and the UE is directed to transition to communicating with the first TRP in a single-TRP operation mode, the UE may limit the number of CORESETs monitored in the single-TRP operation mode to a maximum number of CORESETs configured for the single-TRP operation mode. That is, if the number of CORESETs monitored by the UE for control information from the first TRP in the multi-TRP mode exceeds the maximum number of CORESETs configured for the single-TRP operation mode, the UE may identify a subset of the CORESETs to monitor for control information from the first TRP in the single-TRP mode.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may use one or more antenna subarrays to perform a scheduling request (SR) operation with one or more corresponding transmission reception points (TRPs) while operating in a connected discontinuous reception mode. In some implementations, the UE may receive a configuration indicating a set of its antenna subarrays and a corresponding set of the TRPs with which to perform the SR operation. Based on this configuration, the UE may transmit an SR to the set of TRPs using the set of its antenna subarrays, receive an uplink grant from at least one TRP of the set of TRPs, and transmit uplink data to the at least one TRP. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may determine the sets of antenna elements and TRPs for the SR operation autonomously and transmit an indication of this determination when transmitting the SR.
