Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for secondary cell activation using temporary reference signals are provided. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), includes receiving, from a base station (BS) via a first cell, an activation command to activate a second cell different from the first cell, and receiving, from the BS via the second cell during an activation period, a first reference signal different from a synchronization signal block (SSB). The method further includes performing a measurement of the first reference signal, and operating in the second cell based on the measurement. In some aspects, using reference signals different from SSBs may reduce the delay associated with activating the secondary cell.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a first wireless device such as a UE or base station to prioritize beams which are simultaneously received from or transmitted to cells of different numerologies or which are asynchronous to each other. The device determines an overlap in time between a first signal from a first cell and a second signal from a second cell, where the second cell includes at least one of a different numerology than the first cell or an asynchronous timing relative to the first cell. The device applies a beam prioritization rule for selecting a beam associated with the first signal or the second signal carrying information in separate beams. The device transmits information to or receives information from a second wireless device based on the selected beam. Thus, simultaneous beam conflict resolution may be improved for cells having different numerologies or asynchronous timing.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may enter a dormant state for a secondary cell group (SCG) of a secondary network (SN) having a primary serving cell (PSCell). The UE may maintain an uplink parameter set for the PSCell while the SCG is dormant for the UE. For example, the UE may receive a parameter change message from either the SN or a master network (MN) and transmit a parameter change acknowledgment to either the SN or the MN. The UE may transmit a periodic measurement report for at least the PSCell to the PSCell of the SN based on the uplink parameter set.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for radio link failure recovery and beam failure recovery on a secondary cell group (SCG) in dormancy state. In an example, a user equipment (UE) may determine the UE has entered a dormant state with respect to the SCG of a secondary node (SN) having a primary SCG cell (PSCell). The UE may monitor the PSCell to detect a beam failure or a radio link failure while the UE is in the dormant state with respect to the SCG. The UE may transmit, to the SN, a report based on the beam failure or the radio link failure on the PSCell being detected.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine whether a flag is enabled or is disabled, the flag indicating whether channel state information (CSI) associated with a secondary discontinuous reception (DRX) group is permitted to be transmitted outside of an active time associated with a primary DRX group. The UE may selectively transmit the CSI associated with the secondary DRX group in an uplink communication associated with the primary DRX group based at least in part on whether the flag is enabled or is disabled. A user equipment (UE) may switch from a first bandwidth part (BWP) configuration to a second BWP configuration based on a trigger for transitioning from a first activity state to a second activity state with respect to a cell group. The trigger may be an expiration of a timer at the UE, or the UE may receive control signaling indicating the transition. The second BWP configuration may be based on a mode configured at the UE associated with the second activity state. The configured mode may indicate one or more measurements the UE is to perform while in the second activity state. In some examples, the BWP configuration may include configured BWPs based on the indicated measurements of the configured mode.

A base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a control message in a first control channel occasion associated with a first quasi-colocation (QCL) property, the control message indicating a transmission of a data message within a threshold time period. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) to determine and apply limits to physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) processing in a dual active protocol stack handover scenario. In one aspect, the UE utilizes a joint blind decode capability for both a source cell group and a target cell group to determine whether a total limit for PDCCH candidates to monitor or non-overlapped control channel elements (CCEs) to monitor is applicable. The UE may identify a per cell limit for each configured single transmit receive point (TRP) cell and each multiple TRP cell based on a sub-carrier spacing SCS of the cell and the determination. The UE may include an interface configured to obtain a PDCCH for a slot. The UE may perform blind decoding operations on CCEs up to the per cell monitoring limit for each cell.

In some cases, the position or orientation information of the UE may include information for a current time period, predictive information for one or more future time periods, other information, or any combinations thereof. The UE may transmit a beam monitoring request to a base station for an updated monitoring configuration, such as a subset of a set of configured beams or an identified scan angle to be monitored by the UE.
