Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, for a master cell group and a secondary cell group used for a dual connectivity mode of the UE, information indicating physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring capability values for one or more of span-based monitoring or a combination of slot-based monitoring and span-based monitoring. The UE may receive, from the base station, PDCCH monitoring configuration values for the MCG and the SCG based at least in part on the PDCCH monitoring capability values. Abstract: A configurable new radio (NR) RACH procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed. A configuration to determine, by a user equipment, a random access procedure timeline, from multiple random access procedure timelines that each define a different duration between one or more messages that are communicated in a random access procedure can be determined or transmitted. A random access preamble can be received from the UE based on the random access procedure timeline, and a response to the random access preamble can be determined or transmitted based on the random access procedure timeline.

Also, the apparatus can determine a codebook based on the orthogonal matrix, the codebook including a plurality of codepoints. Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide for the pairing of an inter-band carrier with a time division duplex (TDD) carrier. If the paired band is a frequency division duplex (FDD) band, then base stations and mobile devices may transmit and receive additional thin control channels on FDD carriers to enable full duplex operations. If the paired band is a TDD band, then a conjugate or inverse carrier may be used such that full duplex, or a close approximation thereto, is achieved. With the introduction of a paired channel and fast control channels, rapid uplink/downlink switching may be achieved for TDD carriers efficiently and effectively. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

A second configuration for the second RACH procedure may be different from a first configuration for the first RACH procedure. Another apparatus may be configured to receive a preamble message from a UE for a second RACH procedure having a second configuration different from a first configuration for a first RACH procedure. The other apparatus may be further configured to determine that the first RACH procedure with the UE is unsuccessful.
