Abstract: A system for defending a network against one or more cyber-threats. The system can include a network bus that includes a first node and a second node, such that network traffic flows from the first node to the second node. The system can include an intrusion defense unit connected to the network bus, such that network traffic between the first node and the second node passes through the intrusion defense unit, wherein when a potential cyber-threat is detected in the network traffic, the intrusion defense unit is configured to engage an associated switch to filter the network traffic until the cyber-threat is neutralized.

Abstract: A method for generating trust metrics for sensor data is disclosed. The method can include receiving the sensor data from at least one sensor associated with a platform; categorizing the sensor data into one or more sensor data types; applying one or more threat detection algorithms to the sensor data based on the one or more sensor data types to detect one or more threats to the integrity of the sensor data; calculating a detection certainty for the sensor data from the at least one sensor, the detection certainty indicating a probability that the one or more threats are affecting the integrity of the sensor data; and generating a trust metric for the sensor data of the at least one sensor based on the detection certainty for the sensor data from the at least one sensor.

Abstract: A projectile device for establishing a wireless network and transmitting data within the network. The projectile device includes a processor configured to establish communication in the wireless network for receiving and/or transmitting a message between the projectile device and the at least one external device via the antenna and a wireless protocol that is determined by at least one of the acceleration, angular velocity, or orientation of the projectile device. The projectile device includes a damping agent arranged to impact movement of components of the projectile device, wherein a form factor of the projectile device is complimentary with a launching mechanism of the projectile device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for updating a reference time from a decaying rotational period of a pulsar. The system can include: a database (DB) configured to store: coordinates for a pulsar; a recorded rate of rotation (RROR) for the pulsar; a rotational rate of decay (RROD) function for the pulsar; and a recorded reference time for the pulsar. A sensor can be configured to collect electromagnetic pulsar radiation from the pulsar and generate sensor data. A signal processor module can be configured to receive the sensor data, generate an observed rate of rotation (OROR) signal profile, generate a current rate of rotation (CROR) for the pulsar from the OROR signal profile, and update the RROR from the CROR. A time processor module can be configured to receive the RROD function and the CROR, and to solve the RROD function to output a reference time of the pulsar.

A sensor circuit receives a signal originating from the one or more sensors, identifies the signal, optionally processes the signal data, and packages the raw signal data or processed signal data, as applicable, for transmission over a network. A control circuit establishes communication with the network for sending or receiving sensor data to/from other devices connected to the network, and controls the motive system for moving the apparatus to locations in the area of interest.

Abstract: A method for detecting and/or identifying a cyber-attack on a network can include segmenting the network using a segmentation method with machine learning to generate one or more network segments; assigning a score to a data point within each network segment based on a presence or absence of an identified anomalous behavior of the data point; analyzing network data flow, via behavioral modeling, to provide a context for characterizing the anomalous behavior; combining, via a reinforcement learning agent, outputs of the segmentation method with behavioral modelling and assigned score to detect and/or identify a cyber-attack; providing one or more alerts to an analyst; receiving an analyst assessment of an effectiveness of the detection and/or identification; and providing the analyst assessment as feedback to the reinforcement learning agent.

The method can include fitting the multiple sets into a stochastic process model to generate fitting scores that respectively indicate a degree of the fitting for each of the multiple sets; storing the fitting scores in a matrix; and standardizing the matrix to generate the interpretable kernel embedding for the heterogeneous data.
