Abstract: A heat sink includes a plate for engaging on an integrated circuit device and having a number of fins. A fastener blade is engaged in the fins and includes two hooks for engaging with the device and for securing the plate to the device without threading fasteners. The fastener blade has a middle protrusion engaged with the plate for resiliently forcing the plate to engage with the device. A cover is secured to the fins for forming an air passage between the plate and the cover and a fan is secured to the cover for drawing air through the gaps formed between the fins.

Abstract: A portable memory device having a flexible polymeric display panel which comprises a memory controller configured to determine memory information from a memory coupled to the memory controller, generate memory information signals in dependence on the determined memory information and output the memory information signals to a display driver. The display driver is configured to convert the memory information signals into visual representation signals. The visual representation signals are then outputted on the flexible polymeric display panel. In one embodiment, a secure digital (SD) flash memory card has an electrophoretic display on the card housing and the display indicates information such as the amount of storage available in the card.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a transflective mode color liquid crystal display, whose white backlight source is composed of several narrowband monochromatic light sources. A color filter for displaying colors is designed to match the wavelength of each of the monochromatic light sources so that the color filter can let a monochromatic light source of one color be transmitted, while selectively absorb the wavelengths of the monochromatic light sources of other colors. The present invention can achieve high color saturation at the backlight mode while maintaining high reflectance.
