    Abstract: Thermal management systems are described. These systems include a refrigerant receiver configured to store a refrigerant fluid, an evaporator, a closed-circuit refrigeration system having a closed fluid circuit path, with the refrigerant receiver and evaporator disposed in the closed fluid circuit path, and the closed fluid circuit path including a condenser and compressor. These systems also include a modulation capacity control circuit configured to selectively divert refrigerant vapor flow to the condenser from the compressor by diverting a portion of refrigerant vapor flow (diverted flow) from the compressor to the refrigerant receiver in accordance with cooling capacity demand. These systems also include an open-circuit refrigeration system having an open fluid circuit path with the refrigerant receiver and the evaporator, and an exhaust line that discharges the refrigerant fluid from the exhaust line so that the discharged refrigerant fluid is not returned to the open-circuit and the closed-circuit refrigerant fluid flow paths.

    Abstract: An exemplary computing system for locating an object in an operational area is disclosed. The computing system having a server and plurality of edge devices. The edge devices having an image sensor configured to capture video data of the operational area from a specified location. The edge devices can process the video data to identify an object and generate a two-dimensional shape representative of the object, generate a vector from a lens of the image sensor through a center point of the two-dimensional shape; and determine relative position of the two-dimensional shape based on geospatial information of the edge device and the vector. The server and one or more of the edge devices receiving video data from a plurality of edge devices and generating a graphic, which defines a position of the object within the operational area based on the vector and location information of each edge device.

    Abstract: A thermal management system includes a closed-circuit refrigeration system that includes a vapor cycle system (VCS) and a liquid pumping system (LPS). The VCS includes a receiver that stores a refrigerant fluid and a liquid separator. The vapor cycle system is configured to operate in one or more operational modes including at least one of a TES cooling mode, a heat load cooling mode, or a pump-down mode. The LPS includes a thermal energy storage (TES) that stores a phase change material (PCM) and a pump fluidly coupled to at least one evaporator. The evaporator is configured to extract heat from a heat load that is in thermal conductive or convective contact to the evaporator to transfer heat to the refrigerant fluid and provide the refrigerant fluid from an evaporator outlet to the TES.

    Abstract: A thermal management system is described. The thermal management system includes an open circuit refrigeration circuit that has a refrigerant fluid flow path, with the refrigerant fluid flow path including a receiver configured to store a refrigerant fluid, an ejector having a primary flow inlet configured to receive refrigerant, a liquid separator, an evaporator configured to extract heat from a heat load that contacts the evaporator, with the evaporator coupled to the ejector and the liquid separator, and an exhaust line coupled to a vapor side outlet of the liquid separator. In operation, the evaporator in the open circuit refrigeration circuit would be coupled to a heat load.

    Abstract: A system and method for transferring an adversarial attack involving generating a surrogate model having an architecture and a dataset that mirrors at least one aspect of a target model of a target module, wherein the surrogate model includes a plurality of classes. The method involves generating a masked version of the surrogate model having ewer classes than the surrogate model by randomly selecting at least one class of the plurality of classes for removal. The method involves attacking the masked surrogate model to create a perturbed sample. The method involves generalizing the perturbed sample for use with the target module. The method involves transferring the perturbed sample to the target module to alter an operating parameter of the target model.
