摘要: Methods and apparatuses that automatically detect availability of a reader mode for article content in a web page addressed by a URL are described. Availability detection may be progressively performed such that cheap operations are performed first to reduce the need to perform more expensive ones. A retrieval status of the web page may be detected to determine when enough content has been retrieved to initiate a detection of the reader mode for the web page. A reader indicator may be presented in a user interface of a browser if the availability of the reader mode is detected. A user of the browser may be noted with an alternative presentation of the article content from the web page in addition to a presentation of the whole web page by the browser. If the reader mode of the web page is not available, no reader indicator may be present in the browser.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for data tracking and, in particular, for facilitating failure management within an electronic data communication system. The apparatus includes a tracking module and an error analysis module. The tracking module stores an adapter identifier in a tracking array. The adapter identifier corresponds to a source adapter from which data is received. The error analysis module determines a source of a data failure in response to recognition of the data failure. The data failure may occur on a host adapter, a device adapter, a communication fabric, a multi-processor, or another communication device. The apparatus, system, and method may be implemented in place of or in addition to hardware-assisted data integrity checking within a data storage system.

摘要: A closure assembly of an opening in a building has at least two mutually pivoted panels mounted with the pivot axis at least substantially vertical. The panels are movable between a closed condition whereby the panels provide at least a partial closure of the opening in or substantially parallel to the plane of the opening, and an opened condition whereby the panels, mutually disaligned by having pivoted towards each other, are substantially clear of the plane. A proximate panel is pivoted by a vertical pivot axis substantially in the plane of the opening adjacent a vertical periphery of the opening. The distal region of the distal panel is supported by a supporting runner. The supporting runner is guided by a support track which is skewed with respect to the plane of the opening and which spaces the supporting runner out of the plane of the opening at the vertical periphery.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for copying data from a volatile memory device to a plurality of persistent storage devices in response to a loss of primary power. The apparatus includes a section module, a stripe module, and a write module. The section module sections a data image of a write cache into a plurality of data blocks. The stripe module establishes a plurality of data stripes from the plurality of data blocks. The write module writes in parallel each of the plurality of data stripes to a corresponding plurality of unique, persistent data storage devices in response to a loss of line power to the write cache. Advantageously, the apparatus quickly copies the write data from the write cache to a persistent memory device in a relatively short period of time, decreasing the dependence on significant batteries to back up the volatile memory device.

摘要: An electrochemical cell includes: a membrane electrode assembly: first and second reactant flow field plates for providing first and second reactant flow fields disposed on either side of the membrane electrode assembly. A first seal is disposed between the first reactant flow field plate and the membrane electrode assembly for impeding leakage of process fluids of the electrochemical cell. A first gas diffusion layer is disposed between the first reactant flow field plate and the membrane electrode assembly for diffusing reactant from the first reactant flow field to the membrane electrode assembly. The gas diffusion layer provides a peripheral support structure for supporting the membrane electrode assembly at a periphery between the first reactant flow field and the first seal to impede substantial distortion of the membrane electrode assembly between the first reactant flow field and the first seal.

摘要: A piston assembly is disclosed herein. The piston assembly is integrally formed and unitary and is centered on a central longitudinal axis. The piston assembly includes a head with ring belt having a plurality of ring grooves. The piston assembly also includes first and second skirts, each having a top edge and a bottom edge being radially narrower than the top edge. The skirts also include first and second side edges. The piston assembly also includes first and second pin bosses spaced radially inward from the ring belt to define a short-pin support arrangement. The pin bosses include respective first and second pin bores axially aligned on a pin bore axis perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis. The piston assembly also includes a plurality of panels, each extending between one of the pin bosses and one of the skirts. Each of the panels include a top portion spaced closest to the head and bottom portion spaced furthest the head and a middle portion disposed substantially equally spaced from the top and bottom portions. Each of the panels twists along its length such that a ratio defined by a first distance between the top portion and a first plane perpendicular to the pin bore axis over a second distance between the bottom portion and the first plane increases along at least part of the length.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed for overcoming errors in speech recognition systems. For example, a technique for processing acoustic data in accordance with a speech recognition system comprises the following steps/operations. Acoustic data is obtained in association with the speech recognition system. The acoustic data is recorded using a combination of a first buffer area and a second buffer area, such that the recording of the acoustic data using the combination of the two buffer areas at least substantially minimizes one or more truncation errors associated with operation of the speech recognition system.
