摘要: Techniques for cloning programming code are disclosed. In an embodiment, the cloned code is in the form of functions in the C language. Further, in a method embodiment, a clone of a function is invoked, and information mapping the clone to the function is generated. At link time, if no function body of the clone is accessible by a linker, then the linker uses information mapping the clone to the function to satisfy a linker's requirement. At load time, if no function body of the clone is accessible by a loader, then the loader, based on the mapping information, allows selection of a body of the function. However, if the body function of the clone is accessible by the loader, then the loader allows selection of the body of the clone.

摘要: A packet mapper prioritizes streams of data packets in a computer network, each data packet having a packet header containing feature values descriptive of the data packet. The packet mapper includes a mapping table that associates application-related features with network-reserved feature values from a range of feature values reserved for use by selected network data packet streams, and a feature value mapper that performs at least one of (i) in each packet header having an application-related feature value associated with a network-reserved feature value, substituting the associated network-reserved feature value for the application-related feature value, and (ii) in each packet header having a network-reserved feature value associated with an application-related feature value, substituting the associated application-related feature value for the network-reserved feature value.

摘要: An image of an actual pattern of discrete objects is analyzed with respect to a model representing a predefined ideal pattern of objects. Initial processing is performed on only a portion of the image associated with ones of the objects located in an original neighborhood within the image to determine information about an affine transformation of the actual pattern of the discrete objects relative to the predefined ideal pattern. Additional processing is performed on other portions of the image based on the results of the initial processing. Initial processing is performed with respect to a first part of the image by operating on only a first portion of all of the digital data that represents that first part of the image. Later additional processing is performed with respect to another part of the image by operating on only a second portion of all of the digital data that represents that other part of the image, the second portion being relatively smaller than the first portion so that the additional processing is less intensive than the initial processing.

摘要: A method and apparatus to search, locate and inspect an object or characteristic of interest on a non-rigid package. First, a model of patterns of interest are stored to train the system with a model of the characteristics of interest. A minimum spanning forest (MSF) is generated defining the characteristics of interest as vertices with each vertex referencing a vertex closest to itself in order to minimize the sum of the distances between vertices in each minimum spanning tree (MST) of the MSF. At run time two coarse alignment features that the system has been trained to identify are located to determine rotation and coarse position of a non-rigid package being inspected. Local alignment then determines the exact position of local alignment points each of which is a starting vertex associated with one or more characteristics of interest as vertices in that starting vertexes MST. When the exact position of each local alignment point is determined the approximate position of associated characteristics is then known. Fine alignment determines the exact position of the characteristics of interest. The fine alignment process uses the minimum spanning forrest ("MSF") to locate each characteristic of interest in a selected order by reference to another, nearest, previously located characteristic.

摘要: A system and method is disclosed for providing security in virtual function calling. During a build process a program code is analyzed to identify one or more call sites used to facilitate a call to a subroutine associated with a declared object type. One or more trusted vtable pointers to a respective subroutine is determined, and the program is configured, via the build process, to detect, at an execution time, an initiation of a virtual call at a call site, verify whether a vtable pointer used in connection with the call site is associated with at least one of the trusted vtable pointers, and, if verified, facilitate the virtual call using the call site. If the vtable pointer cannot be verified then the virtual call is aborted.

摘要: Techniques for partitioning modules into smaller groups are disclosed. In various embodiments, cross-module optimization may be performed on these smaller groups. Further, related modules are grouped together based on a predefined algorithm. Relatedness, or closeness, or affinity, of modules are considered based on various factors including, for example, the number of calls between routines in different modules, possibility of in-lining a first routine in a first module into a second routine in a second module, characteristics of parameters being passed between routines in different modules, etc.

摘要: A graphical user interface for a computer program enables a user to define a model representing a predefined ideal pattern of objects, the model being useful in analyzing an image of an actual pattern of discrete objects with respect to the model. In the interface, a fragment of the ideal pattern of objects is displayed, the displayed fragment including a graphical indicator of a key distance between objects in the fragment. A device which is visually associated in the fragment with the indicator enables the user to specify a value for the distance. The interface also includes a displayed image representing the pattern of objects, and an interactive device that enables a user to turn on or turn off an object in the image as an indication of its inclusion or exclusion in the pattern.

摘要: The disclosure concerns an augmented reality method in which visual information concerning a real-world object, structure or environment is gathered and a deformation operation is performed on that visual information to generate virtual content that may be displayed in place of, or additionally to, real-time captured image content of the real-world object, structure or environment. Some particular embodiments concern the sharing of visual environment data and/or information characterizing the deformation operation between client devices.
