Abstract:
The subject matter of this disclosure can be implemented in, among other things, a method. In these examples, the method includes sending a request from a first network node to a second network node to request a bundled transport control protocol (TCP) connection between the first network node and the second network node, wherein the bundled TCP connection includes a group of member TCP connections associated with the bundled TCP connection. The method may also include receiving a response message with the first network node sent from the second network node, wherein the response message includes an indication of a status of the request, sending an acknowledgment message from the first network node to the second network node, and establishing the bundled TCP connection when the status of the request included in the response message indicates that the request is successful.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a detach procedure between a first device and a second device. The method includes receiving, at a first device, an informational exchange message to delete an IP security association between the first device and a second device. The informational exchange message further includes a notify message indicating that the deletion of the IP security association is due to a detach request. In response to the notify message indicating that the deletion of the IP security association is due to the detach request, the method further includes automatically deleting, at the first device, a mobility related state associated with the host-based mobility protocol.
Abstract:
A media access gateway comprises a wireless network interface, an authorization module, a filter information module, and a proxy mobility agent module. The wireless network interface selectively establishes a wireless link with a first interface of a wireless terminal that has a plurality of wireless interfaces. The authorization module determines a home agent corresponding to the wireless terminal. The filter information module receives filter information from one of the wireless terminal and a server and generates output filter information. The proxy mobility agent module transmits a binding update to the home agent. The binding update includes the output filter information.
Abstract:
A system and method for optimizing the visual fidelity of a presentation for a plurality of audience members and a plurality of display devices, comprising: modeling the quality of view available to the plurality of audience members based on: one or more properties of the display devices, a distribution of the display devices, a distribution of the plurality of audience members, and the visual presentation wherein the visual presentation comprises one or more h-slides; and determining an optimal mapping for the one or more h-slides to the plurality of display devices based on the modeling.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a handover of an Internet packet (IP) flow from a first access router to a second access router, in which the Internet packet (IP) flow comprises one or more downlink data packets. The method includes: receiving, at the first access router, a request from a user equipment (UE) to move the IP flow from the first access router to the second access router; and in response to the request, the first access router forwarding one or more downlink data packets from the first access router to the second access router.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for preventing a user equipment (UE) from forming of a routing loop in a network. The method includes maintaining a list of one or more home addresses associated with the user equipment (UE), in which each home address has been previously associated with the user equipment (UE) by a corresponding packet data network gateway (PDN GW). In response to a request to update a care-of address in a binding cache entry of a packet data network gateway (PDN GW) in the network, the method further includes comparing an address to be used to update the care-of address with the one or more home addresses in the list. If the address to be used to update the care-of address matches a home address in the list, then the update is rejected.
Abstract:
A network control module including an access module and a selection control module. The access module is configured to determine whether a wireless terminal communicating with a first network via a first gateway is attempting to communicate with a second network via a second gateway. The access module is configured to determine whether the first gateway allows communication with the second network. The selection control module is configured to allow the wireless terminal to access the second network via the first gateway prior to the wireless terminal establishing a connection with the second gateway.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for routing packets from a home agent to a user equipment through a first access network and a second access network. The method includes sending a first binding update message from the user equipment over the first access network to create a first binding cache entry at the home agent. The user equipment uses a home address assigned to the user equipment as a source IP address of the first binding update message. The method further includes sending a second binding update message from the user equipment over the second access network to create a second binding cache entry at the home agent. The user equipment receives packets from the home agent through the first access network and the second access network based on the first binding cache entry and the second binding cache entry.
Abstract:
A media access gateway includes a wireless network interface, a profile determination module, a proxy mobility agent module, and an address assignment module. The wireless network interface is configured to establish a wireless link with a wireless terminal. The profile determination module is configured to retrieve a profile corresponding to the wireless terminal. The profile includes packet data network identifiers. The proxy mobility agent module is configured to identify a packet data networks in response to the packet data network identifiers. The address assignment module is configured to transmit an address assignment message to the wireless terminal. The address assignment message (i) includes address components and (ii) associates the address components with the packet data networks. The wireless terminal uses the address components to communicate with the packet data networks.
Abstract:
A media access gateway includes a wireless network interface, a tunneling module, a proxy mobility agent module, and an address assignment module. The wireless network interface establishes a link with a wireless terminal. The tunneling module establishes tunnels with first and second local mobility anchors, associated with first and second packet data networks, respectively. The proxy mobility agent module stores a mapping of assigned addresses to local mobility anchor identifiers. The proxy mobility agent selects a first or second local mobility anchor in response to the mapping and a source address of the wireless terminal, and the tunneling module tunnels the packet to the selected local mobility anchor. The address assignment module transmits an address assignment message, which includes the first assigned address and a prefix usage indicator, to the wireless terminal. The first assigned address includes a network-based or client-based mobility address according to the prefix usage indicator.
