摘要： A mirror mounting assembly is attachable to a wing-window portion of a vehicular door. The assembly has at least one mirror mounted on a support. The assembly additionally has a bracket which fits into the wing-window portion of a vehicular door. The bracket has a base member to which the support is secured and a clamping plate, which secures the assembly within the window. The base has a first member and second member hingedly connected. These members may then be opened and closed around the support. By this, the assembly is formed for deployment in a wing-window.

摘要： A vibration dampening apparatus for a vehicular dual mirror assembly. The apparatus includes a first and second mirror assemblies having independent spaced legs extending outwardly and being interconnected by an elongated vibration dampening rod and clamping brackets to secure the apparatus to a vehicular mounting bar. The legs of the mirror assembly, and the associated clamping brackets and the vibration dampening rod function together to dampen the vibrations. 摘要： The mirror assembly of the present invention includes a frame which house the mirror, a mirror frame, a rigid tubular member, and means for mounting the mirror frame to the vehicle. The mirror assembly is for mounting onto an exterior front surface of a vehicle, preferably, in the shape of a one-fourth of an ellipsoid. The mirror surface is in the shape of a convex triangle, having a variable radius of curvature. The mirror is in the shape of a portion of a quadratic surface. The mirror is formed by the intersection of each of two parallel planes with the quadratic surface. The mirror surface has a plurality of radii of curvature. The mirror provides the driver of the vehicle with a field of view which is substantially greater than angle of the quadratic surface about a vertical axis. The top portion of the ellipsoid which provides a field of view over the driver, and the side of the ellipsoid which provides a field of view of the front of the vehicle are eliminated from the mirror surface. Hence, the portion of the ellipsoid that remains enabling the driver to view alongside the vehicle, can be effectively enlarged, while still providing a reduction in the size of the blindspot behind the mirror.
