Abstract:
A self-positioning cabinet rail for a drawer guide for supporting a drawer in a drawer opening of a furniture article, such as a cabinet, and including a means for spacing the cabinet rail a pre-determined distance from the bottom of the drawer opening. The self-positioning cabinet rail includes a rail member with front and rear ends, upper and lower ledges, a cabinet rail roller and a downwardly bent projection on the front end. The projection is angled downward to extend below the front end and in use, is positioned at the lower member of the drawer opening for spacing the cabinet rail with its front end at the drawer opening. The self-positioning cabinet rail also includes a bumper cover on the projection and extending forward of the front end to provide an abutment surface.
Abstract:
A hinge with a hinge cup and a hinge arm is described which inserts in a cabinet/furniture component. The hinge cup has a recess located on the outer side of the side which is opposite the hinge arm, so that a step is formed in the inner space of the hinge cup.
Abstract:
A snap-in mounting bracket for use in a desk or cabinet and with a drawer guide having a tongue portion includes a base carrying a pair of opposing retaining flanges resiliently connected to the base and configured to cooperatively receive a drawer guide tongue portion in snap-in engagement allowing lateral adjustment of the drawer guide with respect to the desk or cabinet. At least one support wall and preferably a pair of opposing support walls rigidly connected to the bracket base cooperatively support the engaged drawer guide tongue portion. One of the support walls may be provided with a notch for engaging the drawer guide to prevent lateral movement of the drawer guide. The bracket is supported on the desk or cabinet by fasteners such as fastening screws received through openings formed in the base and into the desk or cabinet.
Abstract:
An adjustable door hinge for mounting a door on a supporting frame utilizing a hinge arm receiver and a hinge plate connected by hinge arm having ends that are pivotally connected to the hinge arm receiver and the hinge place. The hinge plate has a depending edge fashioned to be cooperatively received by a groove formed in the frame to provide additional gripping strength and hinge stability.
Abstract:
A laterally adjustable mounting bracket for use on a desk or cabinet drawer maintained by a supporting surface and with a tongueless drawer guide having a base plate, a moveable drawer guide plate having top, bottom, and side edges cooperatively receiving a tongueless drawer guide, and means for adjustably securing the drawer guide plate to the base plate. The adjustable securing means includes base plate spring members engaging the guide plate top and bottom edges to enable preselective lateral adjustment of the drawer, drawer guide and drawer guide plate with respect to the desk or cabinet housing the drawer. The drawer guide plate has a resilient stop and the base plate has an elongated slot and connecting ramp cooperatively receiving and engaging the stop to limit the preselected adjustment of the drawer, drawer guide and drawer guide plate with respect to the desk or cabinet. The base plate has top and bottom flanges cooperatively receiving the drawer guide plate for preselected adjustment therebetween.
Abstract:
An adjustable recessed door hinge includes a hinge cup displacably insertable in a bore of one of a frame or door member, a hinge pin mounted in the hinge cup, and a hinge arm pivoted at one end on the hinge pin and displacably securable at the other end of the hinge arm to the other of the frame or door member. The hinge cup is dimensioned to be displacable in the bore relative to the frame or door member. Slotted holes for receiving attaching screws guide displacement of the hinge cup and hinge arm relative to the frame and door members.
Abstract:
A foldable leveller leg assembly for supporting an article having a base member directly engaging the article, a leg member pivotally connected to the base member and a foot member adjustably affixed to the leg member. Several means are available for securing the base member to the article. Alternate means may be utilized to lock the leg member in a substantially fixed relationship with respect to the base member so that the leg member can sustain the article when in a vertical position and be folded against it when the article is to be shipped, stored or relocated. The foot member can move independent of a connected stationary element engaging the supporting surface. A roller device associated with the base member enables the article to be moved over a supporting surface when the leg member is in the folded and substantially horizontal position.
Abstract:
A universal damping mechanism is provided, including a housing having a mounting surface for fixing the housing to an appropriate furniture or fixture surface. The mounting surface includes a bottom surface of a box-shaped portion of the housing, which further includes a pair of laterally opposed side surfaces extending upwardly from the bottom surface. Each lateral side surface includes a recessed portion defining a first opening of an angled hole communicating with a second opening of the angled hole provided in the bottom surface proximate a central portion thereof. A shock absorber subassembly is slidably positioned within a shock absorber receiving portion of the housing and has a first end extending from a first end of the housing, and an adjustment mechanism is coupled to a second end of the housing and adjustably engaged with a second end of the shock absorber subassembly within the shock absorber receiving portion.

Abstract:
Hinge assembly for mounting a door on a furniture frame for movement of the door between open and closed positions of the door relative to the furniture frame is provided comprising a mounting plate adapted to be affixed to a furniture frame member, an intermediate plate disposed atop of and slideably engaged to said mounting plate, a top plate disposed atop of and slideably engaged to said intermediate plate and said mounting plate, said top plate comprising a body portion having a depending front face and at least one depending rear member, a hinge arm slideably engaged to said top plate, and a guide pin extending through an aperture in the at least one depending rear member under the body portion of the top plate, under a portion of the intermediate plate, and into a corresponding aperture in the front face of the top plate. The hinge assembly is adjustable such that the hinge arm can be adjusted in three dimensions relative to the mounting plate.
