Abstract:
An apparatus includes an enclosure including one or more ultraviolet lights configured to kill germs, the enclosure including a drawer for placing items into and removing items from the enclosure, wherein the enclosure is configured for insertion into an existing cabinet. The apparatus can include an adjustable width bracket, wherein the adjustable width bracket allows the enclosure to be secured against side surfaces within the existing cabinet. The apparatus can also include an adjustable depth bracket, wherein the adjustable depth bracket allows the enclosure to be secured against a back surface within the existing cabinet. The apparatus can also include a bottom bracket, wherein the bottom bracket allows the enclosure to be secured against a bottom surface of the existing surface. In one example, the enclosure is connected to an air filtration system.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly is provided to mount a door to a housing, and includes a housing fixation section (1), a hinge cup (3) pivotally connected to the housing fixation section (1), and a damping mechanism (4) positioned entirely within the hinge cup (3) to dampen movement of the door as it closes on the housing.
Abstract:
A shelf system is shown and described. In one embodiment, the system is for use with a post having at least one aperture. The system comprises a first head and a second head configured to mount to the post. The system also includes a collar configured to encircle the post and rest on the first and second heads. The collar may engage a shelf or may be integral with a shelf. The collar has an inner track configured to contact the first head and an outer track configured to contact the second head. The collar is configured to allow the shelf to rotate around the post from a first rest-position and return to the first-rest position without encountering a second rest-position.
Abstract:
A rotary shelf assembly mechanism has shelves mounted on a vertical post arrangement formed by a first lower post and a second upper post. The mechanism is connected to a cabinet by upper and lower mounting brackets interacting with the top and bottom of the cabinet to support the posts and shelves carried thereby. The mechanism is mounted in the corner of the cabinet. To fit the mechanism within the cabinet, a height adjustment device is formed by positioning the second upper post in the upper end of the first lower post for slidable movement therebetween. When securement of the two joined posts and mounted shelves is desired, the slidably movable second upper post is extended upwardly until it engages the upper mounting bracket mounted on the cabinet. An elongated recess in the second upper post aligns with an opening in the first lower post, and a threaded member extends into a casting positioned within the upper post. The threaded member is tightened to engage the casting and secure the two posts in a shelf-retaining and rotational mode. The height adjustment device enables quick and efficient installation of the mechanism within the cabinet interior. The mechanism also includes a one piece shelf construction having a post-securing section and a shelf-retaining pin.
Abstract:
A drawer closing mechanism includes a toothed rack fixed in position with respect to a furniture frame member, a toothed drive gear mounted to a drawer for engaging the teeth on the rack, and a spring with two ends, one end being fixedly attached to the drive gear and rotatable therewith and the opposite end being fixed, wherein as the drawer is pulled open, the teeth on the drive gear engage the teeth on the rack and rotate the drive gear, and as the drive gear rotates, the spring is wound and potential energy is stored in the tension therein. The spring can be a flat wire spring wound circumferentially about a central point in a spiral.
Abstract:
A mounting plate for a furniture hinge includes a hinge plate which is adapted to be pivotably connected to a hinge component, such as a hinge cup, at least one pair, and preferably two pairs of opposing legs, depending from the hinge plate, and a fastener opening formed in the hinge plate between the opposing legs. The opposing legs are spaced apart from one another and depend from the hinge plate parallel to one another. Further, the opposing legs extend from the hinge plate a distance which is at least as great as or equal to the distance by which the opposing legs are spaced from one another.
Abstract:
A drawer guide assembly for a movable structure such as a drawer in a furniture article allows for full or nearly full extension of the movable structure. A drawer guide assembly comprises a pull-out rail, a swing arm with one end hinged to the pull-out rail and having a track roller coupled thereto, a guide rail supporting the pull-out rail and communicating with the track roller, and a curved track disposed on the guide rail for receiving the track roller when a drawer is pushed into a furniture article.
Abstract:
An adjustable hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture article includes a hinge arm with a first end portion articulated to the first hinge and with a second end portion on which is formed an adjustment member with a threaded adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with depending flanges, each having a recess with a forward end having an abutment surface and a rearward end having a hook. The hinge also includes a second hinge member having portions defining an adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with upstanding flanges, each of which has a forward projection and a rearward projection. The rearward projection pivotably engages the hook of the recess in the depending flange of the adjustment member with the forward projection confronting the abutment surface of the recess of the depending ledge of the adjustment member. Threaded adjustment of an adjustment screw received in the adjustment screw opening of the second hinge member and threaded into the threaded adjustment screw opening of the adjustment member causes the adjustment plate to pivot relative to the second hinge member about the rearward projections on the upstanding flanges of the second hinge member.
Abstract:
A hanging file bar support assembly for a drawer includes at least one elongate rail with opposing ends adapted to be mounted on opposite walls of a drawer and at least one clip supported on the rail which has a clip body. The clip body is provided with a hook member extending from the front side of the clip body near an end of the clip body which engages a top edge of the rail and a detent member extending from its opposite end which engages a bottom edge of the rail. The clip body also has a cantilever member extending from its back side which is adapted to support an end of a hanging file bar.
