    Abstract: A folding panel system that allows foldable panels, such as folding glass doors, to fold and move around segmented tracks. The system includes a trolley assembly. The trolley assembly can include a pair of dual roller assemblies spaced rigidly apart by a rigid guide member and supported by an overhead guide track. The rigid guide member is positioned outside of the guide track and moves lengthwise along the overhead guide track except between overhead linear track segments. A hinge extension is secured to and extends rigidly away from the rigid guide member vertically away from the guide track. This configuration holds the hinge extension at a constant angle with respect to the guide track. The hinge extension pivotably joins hinge leaves from adjacent panels hingedly joining the two panels.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a sill assembly and sill that can be positioned continuously under doorways with swing doors, sidelites, and vertical door frame members such as vertical jambs, and mull posts, or the vertical members of sidelites. One variation of the sill assembly can be used for inswing doors while another can be used for outswing doors. The sill assembly includes a backstop and optionally can include end dams. These in combination with the structure of the sill assembly shed water away from the building structure and allow for the possibility of the sill assembly being installed without an additional sill pan or flashing. The sill assembly can optionally include one or more thermal breaks. The sill assembly can be structured so the thermal breaks of the door, sidelites, and vertical door frame members all align with the thermal breaks of the sill assembly.

    Abstract: A sill assembly that can include a sill and one or more threshold inserts. The threshold inserts can cover cavities within the sill. The sill assembly can optionally include a subsill, which can be a separate from or part of the sill. The subsill can include subsill cavities aligned over the sill cavities to form vertically-stacked pressure chambers. These vertically-stacked pressure chambers can include vertically-stacked pressure chambers positioned within the interior of the building, and vertically-stacked pressure chambers positioned within the exterior of the building. The sill assembly is so structured that different door types, such as swing doors, pivot doors, folding doors and/or sliding doors can be accommodated using the same sill and subsill by simply changing the threshold inserts. The sill assembly can have a minimal rise above the floor surface to meet regulatory requirements such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

    Abstract: A snow guard assembly heated within one or more snow guard tubes. Heating of the snow guard tube prevents excessive accumulation of snow and helps prevent snow build up and spill over above the top of the snow guard. The tubes can be length-wise separable to place and service the heating elements. The heating element can be standard heat tape or infrared LEDs. The snow guard tubes can optionally have a non-uniform cross-sectional thickness to direct the heat more efficiently in a desired orientation. The interior of the snow guard tubes can be selectively coated with infrared absorbing or reflective material to direct the heat in a desired orientation when infrared LEDs are used as a heat source. The snow guard can be attached to many types of roof surfaces including tile roofs, metal roofs with or without standing seams, and shingle roofs.

    Abstract: A high-performance fenestration system that includes a pressure chamber formed between longitudinally adjacent fenestration members. The pressure chamber is positioned on one side of the thermal break. The fenestration system can be configured so to create a continuous pressure chamber around the closed perimeter of the fenestration between the frame and sash. The resulting fenestration system enjoys significantly better water penetration resistance as compared with conventional high-performance doors and windows. Because of the positioning and structural configuration of the pressure chamber, the fenestration system can be configured to accept different hinge styles including Euro-style and American-style hinges without significant loss of performance. In addition, the system can accept American-style door hardware or Euro-style door hardware.
