The present invention relates to a network device and a method for providing content compatibility between network devices having different respective digital rights management methods. The method includes exchanging security program lists of the network devices, comparing the security program list of one network device with the security program list of the other network device based on the exchanged security program lists, and installing a security program required for using content of the other network device according to the comparison result. Accordingly, there is an advantage in that the network devices using the different respective DRM-based security programs can exchange content with one another and use the content of the other network device by using the predetermined security program update methods.

A digital TV equipped with a general-purpose CPU having a higher performance than that of an embedded CPU and a signal processing method thereof are provided. According to the digital TV and method, if the digital TV is turned on, digital broadcast data is received and decoded irrespective of whether or not system booting is completed, and while the system booting is performed, the decoded signal is made to be output to a display apparatus. Accordingly, after the digital TV is turned on, a user does not need to wait until the system booting is completed and can watch the digital broadcasting while the booting process is being performed.

The system also includes a content providing device which provides its content information in response to the request for content information from the content information collecting device.

A method of and an apparatus for copying and decrypting encrypted digital data. The method of copying encrypted digital data includes encrypting a first media key block to be used for decryption of the encrypted digital data using a predetermined key of a second information storage medium and storing the encrypted digital data and the encrypted first media key block in the second information storage medium. Security of data encryption is heightened by not discarding an encryption key used for an initial encryption, encrypting the encryption key used for initial encryption using another encryption key used for a second encryption, and storing the encrypted encryption key with the data. Also, since unnecessary decryption and encryption of data are not repeated, the time required for copying data is reduced, and since data is transferred between apparatuses in an encrypted state, a security level is higher.

An apparatus and a method capable of measuring a weight load of an inflamed foot of a lab animal objectively and precisely while the lab animal is walking freely in a non-binding state is provided. A pathway sized depending on a size and a stride of the lab animal is provided in a weight load measuring apparatus, and a weight sensor is attached to a bottom of the pathway. Thus, artificial operations to be applied to the lab animal walking the pathway can be minimized such that the weight load exerted in the inflamed foot can be measured objectively and precisely with time periods.

The method of copying encrypted digital data includes encrypting a first media key block to be used for decryption of the encrypted digital data using a predetermined key of a second information storage medium and storing the encrypted digital data and the encrypted first media key block in the second information storage medium.
