摘要: A jitter inducing circuit receives a reference pulse train and induces desired amounts of jitter to the rising and/or falling edges of the pulses. First and second delay blocks 16 and 18 alternately delay the selected edge or edges of the provided reference pulse train interval by preset delay times for every interval. A signal composer 46 composes the outputs of the first and second delay blocks 16 and 18. A delay time setup circuit controls the delay times of the delay blocks 16 and 18. The delay times may change for each interval as a function of time so as to trace a desired function such as a sinusoidal or triangular function.

摘要: A time switch for starting and stopping an electric appliance at set times comprises an electric timer, a display housing a display for the set times, and a switch housing having a concave. The switch housing has input terminals, output terminals, and a switch unit for connecting and disconnecting the electric appliance to and from an power source in accordance with an output from the timer. The time switch includes a coupling member for connection of the display housing to the switch housing. The coupling member comprises a cylinder through which lead wires extends between the timer and the switch unit. The coupling member is movably supported to the switch housing along a center axis of the cylinder so that the display housing can move between a normal position where the display housing fits within the concave and an extended position where the display housing projects out of the concave. The coupling member is rotatably supported to the switch housing such that the display housing can rotate about the center axis of the cylinder at the extended position. This time switch presents an advantage that it is easy to check the set times on the display irrespective of installation angle of the time switch to a switchboard or the like.

摘要: There is disclosed a detergent composition containing, as an essential ingredient, at least one member selected from three types of .alpha.-sulfo-fatty acid derivatives as represented by following formulas (1), (2) and (3): ##STR1## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each an alkyl group or an alkenyl group, each having from 6 to 24 carbon atoms; R.sub.5 is an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; M.sub.1, M.sub.2, M.sub.3 and M.sub.4 are each a hydrogen atom or a cation capable of forming a salt; AO is an oxyalkylene group or a polyvalent alcohol residue; and p, m and n are each a positive number. The detergent compositions are very low in irritability to the body and have a low critical micelle concentration and a low Krafft point. Further, they are highly soluble in water and they can be used in the form of powder or liquid.

摘要: A front structure for a vehicle body including a front frame which extends in the longitudinal direction of the side of the engine room of the vehicle. The front frame is formed of an outer frame and an inner frame connected together to form a closed cross section. A dashboard lower panel is disposed near the rear edge of the front side frame and extends vertically. A front floor extends rearward from the lower edge of the dashboard lower panel. A side sill extends in the longitudinal direction along the side of the front floor and is formed of an outer frame and an inner frame connected together to form a closed cross section. The side sill has a projection on its inward side at front end thereof which is connected to the rear portion of the front side frame.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device including a pair of transparent baseplates which are opposed to each other. A pair of transparent electrodes are disposed on an inner surface of each of the baseplates. A sealing member is disposed so as to form a chamber between the baseplates for containing therein the transparent electrodes and a liquid crystal. Contact electrodes are disposed on one end portion of the inner surface of each of the baseplates for contacting with a pair of external electrodes to be inserted into the device, from the external electrodes a signal to control optical transmission/screening of the liquid crystal being received. A pair of connecting electrodes are disposed on the inner surface of each of the baseplates for electrically connecting the contact electrodes with the transparent electrodes in order to transmit the signal from the contact electrodes to the transparent electrodes. The device is constructed so that the connecting electrodes are not electrically conducted with each other.

摘要: An in-vehicle player which is mounted in a dashboard in a passenger room of a vehicle comprises: an outer housing to be assembled in a mount space provided in the dashboard; a device body contained in the outer housing; and a cushion member interposed between the outer housing and two side surfaces of the device body, wherein the cushion member is made of viscous elastic material, the cushion member has an end surface which is substantially parallel to a shearing direction thereof and stuck to a mount surface of the device body by viscosity thereof, and the cushion member has another end surface which is substantially parallel to the shearing direction and stuck to a mount surface of the outer housing by viscosity thereof, thereby to attach the cushion member to be elastically deformable in the shearing direction between the outer housing and the two side surfaces of the device body.

摘要: A pulse delay circuit induces lager jitter to faster input reference pulse trains than before. A buffer receives a reference pulse train and provides non-inverted and inverted pulses. Low pass filters (LPF) and comparators receive the non-inverted and inverted pulses from the buffer and provide pulses having delayed leading and trailing edges. Dividers divide the delayed pulses by 2 to produce the respective pulse trains having a half frequency. An XOR gate produces an exclusive OR of the delayed and divided pulse trains to provide a pulse train having delayed leading and/or trailing edges relative to the reference pulse train. If the delays by the LPFs and comparators are changed, the output pulses from the XOR gate have jitter.

摘要: Fast data patterns with desired edge positions are provided. A pattern generator (PG) circuit 10 stores and provides data patterns and respective position control data. A delay circuit 16 delays a clock CLK to produce a position control clock according to the position control data. An output flip flop 18 provides the data patterns following to the position control clock. The position of the clock is controlled as an operation reference of the data pattern and, as a result, controls the edge positions of the output data pattern.

摘要: A pair of transparent film substrates are provided. A transparent electrode and an orientation film are formed on each of the pair of transparent film substrates in sequence. A liquid crystal is inserted between the pair of film substrates. An orientation process is performed on each of the orientation films such that a visual-angle direction in which a maximum contrast is obtained is a six-o'clock direction or a twelve-o'clock direction based on a direction of the short hand of a clock. Each of the pair of film substrates is an optically anisotropic body, having a retardation value in the range of 5 to 30 nm in the plane of the film substrates. Assuming that long-axis directions denote directions parallel to the longest side of the periphery of the liquid-crystal shutter, the lagging-axis directions in the plane of the film substrates are approximately parallel to the long-axis directions.
