Abstract:
A heat roller for a laser printer has a roller pipe, a resistive heat element accommodated in the roller pipe, an internal expanding pipe installed in the roller pipe which restricts the resistive heat element by pushing the resistive heat element toward the roller pipe, caps coupled to both end portions of the internal expanding pipe and provided with electrodes which supply a current to the resistive heat element, a gear coupled to any one of the caps, and a coupling unit which restricts at least one of the caps from slipping along the internal expanding pipe. The heat roller has the enhanced secure coupling between the internal expanding pipe, the roller pipe, the coil and the insulation layer. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent slip off and coil short circuit.
Abstract:

The fixing unit includes a heat roller including a heat source therein, one or more pressing rollers in close contact with the heat roller, an elastic body to elastically apply pressure on both ends of the one or more pressing rollers with respect to the heat roller, a backup member to contact a central portion of the one or more pressing rollers and to apply pressure to the central portion in a longitudinal direction of the one or more pressing rollers, and a backup elastic body to elastically press the backup member towards the heat roller.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a Prussian blue coating film for an electrochromic device, more particularly to a method for preparing a Prussian blue coating film for an electrochromic device comprising an electrochromic layer coated on a light transmitting substrate including a coating of a transparent electrode, an ion storage layer coated on another light transmitting substrate including a coating of a transparent electrode and an electrolyte layer formed between the electrochromic layer and the ion storage layer, wherein the ion storage layer is formed with a specific nano-dispersed composition comprising Prussian blue by wet coating, thereby providing comparable or better physical properties, including light transmittance, response time, durability, etc., when compared with the conventional electrochemical techniques, simplifying the manufacturing processes and significantly improving the productivity. With improved economic advantages, the present invention enables the realization of large-sized electrochromic devices.

Abstract:
A fixing unit and an image forming apparatus are provided. The fixing unit applies heat and pressure to a print medium on which a toner image is formed and fixes the toner image on the print medium. The fixing unit includes a heating roller including a heating source, at least two pressurizing rollers which are pressed against the heating roller along an outer circumferential surface of the heating roller, adhesion elastic bodies which elastically press the pressurizing rollers toward the heating roller at first locations of both ends of the pressurizing rollers, and correction elastic bodies which elastically press the pressurizing rollers at second locations of both ends of the pressurizing rollers in the opposite direction of the adhesion elastic bodies. With this structure, the fixing unit forms sufficient fixing nips to reliably fix toner images on the print medium while maintaining a compact structure. Furthermore, this structure increases the life span of the apparatus by minimizing deformation of the pressurizing roller.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus that is capable of preventing a damage to a fusing belt or hazardous conditions due to the overheating of the fusing belt and a fusing device thereof are disclosed. The image forming apparatus has a fusing device including a fusing belt, a heat source disposed in the fusing belt, a support member to support the fusing belt, the support member having an opening through which heat emitted from the heat source passes to at least a portion of the fusing belt, and a first temperature sensor positioned to measure temperature of the fusing belt at the portion directly heated by radiant heat transmitted through the opening. A control unit of the image forming apparatus controls the heat source based on the temperature measured by the first temperature sensor.
Abstract:
A fixing roller of an image forming apparatus includes a roller body having a pipe form. A coil assembly is mounted within the roller body and has an induction coil, and an inside and outside thereof are coated with insulators. A pressing pipe is mounted to the roller body to tightly bias the coil assembly toward an inner surface of the roller body. The pressing pipe has a cut away portion along a lengthwise direction to contract and expand in a circumferential direction.
