Disclosed herein is an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes a fixing device configured to fix a visible image transferred on a printing medium, a decurl device configured to correct a curl produced on the printing medium, a discharging device configured to discharge the printing medium to a space outside of a main body of the image forming apparatus, and a guide device disposed between the fixing device and the discharging device. The guide device guides the printing medium around the decurl device when a transport direction of the printing medium is reversed for duplex printing.

A fixing device includes a pressure member, a heat roller, a pressure roller disposed opposite to the heat roller and pressing the heat roller, and a fixing belt driven between the heat roller and the pressure roller. The pressure member is positioned upstream of the pressure roller in a direction that a printing medium is conveyed, presses the fixing belt along an outer circumferential surface of the heat roller, and fixes a toner image transferred to the printing medium.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a Prussian blue coating film for an electrochromic device, more particularly to a method for preparing a Prussian blue coating film for an electrochromic device comprising an electrochromic layer coated on a light transmitting substrate including a coating of a transparent electrode, an ion storage layer coated on another light transmitting substrate including a coating of a transparent electrode and an electrolyte layer formed between the electrochromic layer and the ion storage layer, wherein the ion storage layer is formed with a specific nano-dispersed composition comprising Prussian blue by wet coating, thereby providing comparable or better physical properties, including light transmittance, response time, durability, etc., when compared with the conventional electrochemical techniques, simplifying the manufacturing processes and significantly improving the productivity. With improved economic advantages, the present invention enables the realization of large-sized electrochromic devices.

A method and apparatus for controlling a fusing temperature, and an image forming apparatus are provided. In the method of controlling a fusing temperature, power is supplied to a heat source included inside a heat roller at on/off chopping rates determined according to the temperature of the heat roller during a time period in which the temperature of the heat roller is rising, and power is supplied to the heat source at on/off chopping rates which are respectively increased by a predetermined value with respect to the determined on/off chopping rates during a time period in which the temperature of the heat roller is falling. Accordingly, a fusing property can be prevented from degrading in an initial printing process after a cold start occurs in a fusing unit, and thus a first print out time (FPOT) can be reduced.

The fusing roller applies heat to a toner image and fuses the toner image onto a piece of paper and is heated by a coil connected to an external power source. The fusing roller includes a pair of end caps which are provided at opposite ends of the fusing roller, a connection electrode which is disposed in one of the end caps and connected to the external power source, and an adherence member which is coupled with the connection electrode, and having an end portion of the coil disposed between the adherence member and the connection electrode to ensure an electric connection between the coil and the connection electrode.

An image forming apparatus that is capable of preventing a damage to a fusing belt or hazardous conditions due to the overheating of the fusing belt and a fusing device thereof are disclosed. The image forming apparatus has a fusing device including a fusing belt, a heat source disposed in the fusing belt, a support member to support the fusing belt, the support member having an opening through which heat emitted from the heat source passes to at least a portion of the fusing belt, and a first temperature sensor positioned to measure temperature of the fusing belt at the portion directly heated by radiant heat transmitted through the opening. A control unit of the image forming apparatus controls the heat source based on the temperature measured by the first temperature sensor.

A coil assembly is mounted within the roller body and has an induction coil, and an inside and outside thereof are coated with insulators. A pressing pipe is mounted to the roller body to tightly bias the coil assembly toward an inner surface of the roller body. The pressing pipe has a cut away portion along a lengthwise direction to contract and expand in a circumferential direction.
