Abstract:
The present invention relates to a new flame-retardant composition based on a flame retardant impregnated on an inorganic oxide of high porosity, to a process for preparing it and to its use for flame retarding materials and especially polymers.
Abstract:
A subject matter of the present invention is a novel stabilizing ingredient for halogenated polymers comprising at least one β-carbonyl compound, an additive composition for halogenated polymers comprising the ingredient and a stabilized composition based on a halogenated polymer. The invention provides improvements as regards stabilization of halogenated polymers. The invention can in particular be applied to the stabilization of poly(vinyl chloride).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an aqueous treatment composition for inhibiting corrosion and acid attack on metallic surfaces that comprises a thiourea organic derivative, a polyalkoxylated terpene nonionic surfactant and an acid. The invention also relates to a process for cleaning industrial metallic equipment, in particular heat exchangers in which a heat transfer fluid, generally based on air or on water, flows, with a view to cleaning them and removing scale and other soiling.
Abstract:
Carboxylic acid diesters are employed for treating, in particular for cleaning textile and other materials, and more particularly for removing paint stains from textile fibers to improve the cleaning thereof; the subject formulations contain at least one dicarboxylic acid diester having the formula (I), R1—OOC-A-COO—R2, in which R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, are each a linear or branched, cyclic or non-cyclic C1-C20 alkyl, aryl, alkyaryl, or arylalkyl radical; and the group A is a branched divalent alkylene radical; and including at least one nonionic polyalkoxylated terpene surfactant.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a flame-retardant system for polymers and to polymer-based flame-retarded compositions. It relates more particularly to a flame-retardant system comprising phosphorus-comprising compounds as flame-retardant agent. The invention provides a flame-retardant system, in particular for polymers and polymer-based compositions. This flame-retardant system comprises, as flame-retardant agent, at least one compound belonging to the family of the esters and salts of phosphoric, phosphinic and phosphonic acids and at least one other compound which stabilizes the flame-retardant agent.
