Abstract:
A method and system for measuring sensitivity of an electrophotography photoconductor. The sensitivity is determined using changing information of the surface potential of the photoconductor and an exposure amount information which is precisely obtained by measuring relative illuminance on the surface of the photoconductor with a photo-sensor disposed between a shutter performing ON/OFF operations of light and the photoconductor while the photoconductor is exposed to light. Then, a changing curve of digitized measured relative illuminance is integrated from a rising point thereof to a point thereof at a time when the surface potential information becomes a specified value.
Abstract:
Edited data for text, patterns, graphs, and the like can be provided by editing programs dedicated to edition of each of such data. A system for editing and printing documents includes a plurality of printing program each corresponding with each of the editing programs and operating independently of one another for generating graphics commands in accordance with the edited data a printing control program for generating print images composed of dots in accordance with the graphics commands from the printing programs and a printing management program for controlling operations of the printing programs in accordance with data in a control data file which stores therein data related to printing programs such as print positions of individual edited data. The system also provides an operating system capable of multitask control, which controls a printing conditions set up program independently of the operation of the printing management program, whereby printing requests are enabled to be received in succession if such requests are made in the course of printing.
Abstract:
A noise suppressor for engagement over a cable, comprises a ferrite core having a core passage extending therethrough from one end to the other. A sleeve of resilient insulating material is cast, injected, dipped or molded over the ferrite core to cover the core. The sleeve includes on opposite sides thereof, a sleeve passage communicating with the core passage. One of the projections may be resilient or may be replaced by a closed end of the sleeve with a slit, for closely engaging a cable to fix the sleeve at a selected location along the cable. A pad may be included in one or both of the sleeves to further hold the sleeves securely on the cable. The sleeve may have a cylindrical or rectangular cross section to accommodate cylindrical or ribbon shaped cables.

Abstract:
The document edition unit includes region set apparatus for setting a size of the region to a size corresponding to the print output, region attribute set apparatus for setting attribute information, region information hold apparatus, and text re-determination apparatus. The text data edition unit includes text input control apparatus. The region information hold apparatus manages the size and position of the region set by the region set apparatus in the size and at the position corresponding to those of at the time of print output, and manages the attributes set by the region attribute set apparatus so as to correspond to them. The text input control apparatus controls the arrangement to the character string at the time of text input by referring to the region information whose position on the page is fixed. When the user makes the operation which changes the input region of the text, the text re-determination apparatus re-determines the arrangement of the texts inside the page in accordance with the region.
Abstract:
A print control system for controlling a computer system comprising a processing unit, a memory unit, a display unit, an input unit and a printer. The memory unit has print request blocks each for storing information necessary for printing a document, and an area for storing a print queue for defining the print execute order of the print request blocks. The processing unit executes a print request program through which a print request provided by the operator is set together with necessary information in the print request block and the print request block is added to the print queue, a print execute program through which information stored in the print request blocks is fetched sequentially in the order of registration of the print request block in the print queue and the printer is controlled for printing operation on the basis of the information, a printing status operating program through which the contents of the print queue are displayed on the display unit, the print request block is removed from the print queue and the order of the print request blocks in the print queue is changed in conformity to instructions given by the operator, and a system management program through which those programs are activated for controlling the printing operation.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for the production of a halogen-containing phthalocyaline compound by the cyclization of phthalonitrile compounds either singly or in combination with a metal compound, characterized in effecting the cyclization in an organic compound having a hydroxyl group and/or a carboxylic acid in an amount in the range of 0.01-10 mass parts per one mass part of the phthalonitrile compounds while continuing the introduction of an inert gas. This method, by using a solvent capable of serving as a specific oxygen source destined to participate in the reaction of complexing a metal compound introduced into a phthalocyanine dye, permits the production of a phthalocyanine compound inexpensively in a high yield.
Abstract:
In a document processing apparatus wherein when a format of a document or the like is set, a plurality of format patterns are simultaneously displayed, a selection is made of a desirable format pattern among said format patterns so as to perform a format setting operation, displays of the format patterns are subdivided into a plurality of screens based on a purpose or usage of a document to be formed. After selecting or designating the purpose or usage of the document, the above-described format pattern is displayed. The document format setting operation which was cumbersome in prior art can be readily performed by selecting a desirable format sample from the format samples which have been categorized based upon the usage thereof, and also by adding an item capable of freely setting a format into the format samples.
