Abstract:
A connecting element (1) for connecting at least two end portions (2A, 3A) of a flat filter medium (2, 3) has at least three legs (1A, 1B, 1C), one end portion (2A, 2B) each being introducible between two legs (1A, 1B, 1C). Under the influence of heat it is possible to connect the material of the legs with the material of the filter medium (2). The connecting element (1) can be used in a filter element (4) and in particular in a filtering device (5), for example an operating fluid filter for a motor vehicle. The object of a method for connecting at least two end portions (2A, 3A) of a flat filter medium (2, 3) is that the end portions (2A, 3A) are introduced between two legs (1A, 1B, 1C) each of a corresponding connecting element (1) and that through heating the material of the legs is connected with the material of the filter medium (1).
Abstract:
A filter includes a filter element (1) having a filter medium (106) pleated in a zigzag manner, with a raw side (105) and a clean side (104). Filter medium sections (120) extend on either side of the raw-side pleat tips (102a) to adjoining raw-side pleat bases (103a) include a first bend (552) toward the raw side (105), and behind that a second bend (554) toward the clean side (104). A plurality of elongated depressions (656) are formed on the raw side (105), which extend between pleat tips (102a) and pleat bases (103a) approximately perpendicular to pleat edges (F) and implement corresponding elevations (658) on the clean side (104) such that, in a raw-side pleat intermediate space (148a), in each case, two depressions (656) on the two medium sections (120) delimiting the pleat intermediate space (148a) are located directly opposite of each other and each form a flow channel (660).

Abstract:
A filter includes a filter element (1) having a filter medium (106) pleated in a zigzag manner, with a raw side (105) and a clean side. On the raw side (105) and/or on the clean side of the filter medium (14; 106), a plurality of oblong adhesive sections (122) are disposed along at least two adhesive tracks (101) on the filter medium (106), which run obliquely or perpendicularly to the pleat edges (F) at least in some sections. Each adhesive track (101) having at least one adhesive section (122) and at least one adhesive interruption (107). The adhesive interruptions (107) are offset from each other such that in a medium section (120) the adhesive interruptions (107) do not form a passage (126) that runs continuously parallel to the pleat edges (F).
