Abstract:
An axial flux electric motor is disclosed. The motor includes a rotor having a first rotor face, a second rotor face, a primary bearing locator on the first rotor face and one or more permanent magnets mounted to the first rotor face. Also included is a stator having a first stator face, a second stator face, a secondary bearing locator on the first stator face, a stator winding having one or more conductors and a connector for connection of the stator winding to a power source. A bearing assembly is also provided and positioned between the first face of the rotor and the first face of the stator for rotationally supporting movement of the rotor relative to the stator, the bearing assembly axially displacing the rotor from the stator to provide an air gap therebetween. The bearing assembly is engaged by the primary and secondary bearing locators to correctly position the bearing assembly.
Abstract:
Compressive imaging apparatus employing multiple modulators in various optical schemes to generate the modulation patterns before the signal is recorded at a detector. The compressive imaging apparatus is equally valid when applying compressive imaging to structured light embodiments where the placement is shifted from the acquisition path between the subject and the detector into the illumination path between the source and the subject to be imaged.
Abstract:
Liner conversion apparatus adapted to convert a flexible liner (2), including a layer of composite material (3), into a structural member within a duct (1) comprising a front portion (6) adapted to be inserted in the liner (2), a central portion (7) having heating means (8) on one side of the layer of composite material (3), and a rear portion (10) having consolidation means (11) for forcing the heated composite material (3) towards the duct (1), the central portion (7) adapted to force hot gas from the heating means (8) through the layer of composite material (3) to heat it, and provide an air gap (14) on the opposite side of the layer (3), and to have a further heating means (43), which substantially surrounds the heating means (8) and is on an opposite side of the composite layer (3). The further heating means (43) aids the distribution of heat through the layer (3), so that the side of the layer (3) remote from the heating means (8) is heated sufficiently.

Abstract:
A drying system for drying a personal hydration system having a fill opening and a supply tube includes a dryer assembly providing a flow of forced air to be introduced into the fill opening of the personal hydration device. The dryer assembly includes seal-forming structure engageable with the fill opening to form a seal between the dryer assembly and the fill opening to enhance the pressurization and inflation of the personal hydration system. The dryer assembly also includes a channel defining a relief valve for permitting exhaust of air flow from the fill opening upon pressurization and inflation of the personal hydration system. The dryer assembly further includes a resilient cam arm for enabling the dryer assembly to sealingly fit variously sized fill openings.
Abstract:
A new and distinct Bracteantha plant named Cream, characterized by its cream colored flowers, upright mounded habit, and medium green leaves.
Abstract:
An apparatus that can secure an electronic device into a vehicle recess is described. The apparatus provides a vehicle-specific integrated docking station for a digital media player, e.g. Apple's iPod. The docking station contains a connecting assembly to interface the digital media player to a digital media interface than in turn is connected to a vehicle audio system. The vehicle recess may be an ashtray recess, a change-tray recess, a cup-holder recess or other appropriate recess. The vehicles may be automobiles, trucks, boats or aircraft.
Abstract:
A new and distinct Bracteantha plant named ‘Rose Pink’, characterized by its upright mounded growth habit, dark pink involucral bracts and yellow disc florets and dark green leaves.
