Abstract: A lubricant supported electric motor includes a stator presenting a stator raceway, and a rotor movable relative to the stator about an axis. The rotor presents a rotor raceway disposed in radially spaced and opposing relationship with the stator raceway to define a gap therebetween. A lubricant is disposed in the gap for supporting the rotor relative to the stator. The stator raceway includes a bearing structure comprised of a plurality of hydrodynamic surfaces aligned in parallel relationship along the stator raceway and a plurality of hydrostatic pockets disposed in radially recessed relationship relative to the hydrodynamic surfaces.

The coil spar comprises one or more coil assemblies and is positioned concentrically within the hollow rotatable shaft. Each of the magnet portions is shaped to conform to a radially inwardly facing surface of the shaft. Each of the plurality of magnet portions abuts conformally against the radially inwardly facing surface of the shaft between the radially inwardly facing surface and the or each coil assembly.

Abstract: The invention relates to a rotating electric machine, such as a dynamometer. The rotor of the machine comprises a circular row of resultant magnetic poles of which the polarity forms an alternation of opposed poles. The resultant poles each include a pair of permanent magnets in a “V”, each equipped with a north pole N, a south pole S, and opposed faces, where the magnet poles are located. In each resultant pole the magnets are disposed so as to have faces having identical polarities, which faces are oriented radially outwardly, facing towards one another, thus forming therebetween an angle β between 90° and 110°, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency. The invention also relates to a turbomachine test stand equipped with a dynamometer enabling a recovery of electrical energy. The invention also relates to a hybrid motor vehicle propelled by the rotating electric machine.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for wind power generation. In one aspect, a wind power generator includes a support base; inductors positioned over the support base in a circular array; an annulus ring track fixed to the base support and providing a circular track around which the inductors are located; an annulus ring rotor placed on the annulus ring track and engaged to rollers in the circular track so that the annulus ring rotor can rotate relative to the an annulus ring track, in which the annulus ring rotor include separate magnets to move through the circular array of inductors to cause generation of electric currents; and a wind rotor assembly coupled to the annulus ring rotor and including wind-deflecting blades that rotate with the rotor and a hollow central interior for containing a wind vortex formed from deflecting wind by the blades to convert into the electric energy.

Abstract: An electric submersible well pump assembly includes a rotary pump and an electrical motor. The motor has a motor housing filled with a dielectric lubricant. A stator formed of a stack of stator disks with a stator bore is stationarily mounted within the motor housing. A motor shaft extends through the bore. A rotor is mounted to the shaft for rotating the shaft and has a stack of rotor disks. Axially spaced-apart radial stabilizing portions along the rotor have outer peripheries that are greater in outer diameter than remaining portions of the rotor. The outer peripheries of the stabilizing portions rotate with the rotor and are closely spaced to the inner diameter of the stator to radially stabilize the shaft.

Abstract: A direct-drive wind turbine comprises a wind turbine rotor and a generator mounted on a frame. The wind turbine rotor comprises a hub carrying blades and the generator comprises a generator stator comprising a track structure and a stator surface connected to the track structure, wherein the stator surface has coil windings, and carriages connected one after the other and adapted to run on the track structure, wherein the carriages carry an electrically magnetically active material facing the stator surface such that when the carriages run along the track structure a magnetic field is generated across an air gap provided between the carriages active materials and the stator coil windings, wherein one or more carriages are directly coupled to the wind turbine rotor by rigid connectors such that rotation of the wind turbine rotor causes displacement of the carriages along the track.
