Abstract: A hydraulic actuator (1) is disclosed comprising a cylinder housing (2), a piston (5) with a piston rod (6) being displaceably arranged inside the cylinder housing (2) and a pressure amplifier (10) comprising an inlet section (18) with a pressure inlet port (20), an active section (19) with a high pressure outlet port (22), a low pressure chamber (32) and a high pressure chamber (38a). It is an objective of the invention to provide a hydraulic actuator (1) with a modular pressure amplifier (10). To this end, the inlet section (18) is arranged inside the piston rod (6), and wherein the low pressure chamber (32) is stationarily arranged relative to the inlet section (18).

Abstract: A pressure amplifier (1) is described comprising a housing (2) a low pressure chamber (9-12), a high pressure chamber (13-16) and for transmitting means between the low pressure chamber (9-12) and the high pressure chamber (13-16). Such a pressure amplifier should have a compact design. To this end the force transmitting means comprise a rotor (3) arranged in a bore (4) of the housing (2), wherein the rotor (3) comprises a radially extending low pressure wing (5, 6) and a radially extending high pressure wing (7, 8), the low pressure wing (5, 6) together with the housing (2) delimiting the low pressure chamber (9-12) and the high pressure wing (7, 8) together with the housing (2) delimiting the high pressure chamber (13-16), wherein a supply of fluid into the low pressure chamber (9-12) causes a rotation of the rotor (3) and a rotation of the rotor causes a decrease of volume of the high pressure chamber (13-16).

Abstract: A hydraulic pressure amplifier arrangement (1) is described comprising a supply port (A1), a pressure outlet (A2) connected to the supply port via check valve means (3), a tank port (B1), an intensifier section (5) having a high pressure piston (6) in a high pressure cylinder (7) which is connected to the pressure outlet (A2), a low pressure piston (8) in a low pressure cylinder (9) and connected to the high pressure piston (6), an intermediate space (11) between the high pressure piston (6) and the low pressure piston (8), a control valve (12) controlling a pressure in the low pressure cylinder (9), and a feeder arrangement of the intensifier section (5) including an input connection (19) connected to the supply port (A1) and a return connection (20) connected to the tank port (B1). Such a pressure amplifier arrangement should have a simple construction. To this end the feeder arrangement (19, 20) comprises throttling means (21).

Such a pressure amplifier arrangement should have a good operational behavior in a cost effective manner. To this end the control valve (12) comprises spring means 16 acting on the valve element (1) in a direction towards a starting position of the control valve.

Abstract: A double acting hydraulic pressure intensifier (1) is described comprising a housing (2), a first piston arrangement (7) having a first high pressure piston (8) in a first high pressure chamber (3) in the housing (2) and a first low pressure piston (9) in a first low pressure chamber (5) of the housing (2), a second piston arrangement (10), having a second high pressure piston (11) in a second high pressure chamber (4) in the housing (2) and a second low pressure piston (12) in a second low pressure chamber (6) in the housing (2), and a switching valve (14) having a valve element (15). Such a pressure intensifier should be made compact. To this end the switching valve (14) is located between the first piston arrangement (7) and the second piston arrangement (10).
