摘要: An apparatus for containing pressure associated with a well includes a ram fluid chamber, a ram piston, and an intensifier piston within a housing. The ram piston has ends associated with a ram and with the ram fluid chamber. The intensifier piston has ends associated with the ram fluid chamber and a fluid source. The end of the intensifier piston associated with the fluid source has a larger surface area than the end associated with the ram fluid chamber. Fluid from the fluid source applies a first pressure to the second end of the intensifier piston to move the intensifier piston. Movement of the intensifier piston applies a second pressure greater than the first pressure to fluid in the ram fluid chamber to move the ram piston and associated ram toward a closed position.

摘要: A system includes a pressure exchanger (PX) configured to receive a first fluid via a first inlet and a second fluid via a second inlet. The PX is to exchange pressure between the first fluid and the second fluid and provide the first fluid at a first outlet and the second fluid at a second outlet. The system further includes a first sensor to provide first sensor data associated with the first fluid prior to the first fluid entering the first inlet and a second sensor to provide second sensor data associated with the second fluid prior to the second fluid entering the second inlet. The system further includes a controller to receive user input and cause a first adjustment of the flowrate of the first fluid into the first inlet and cause a second adjustment of the flowrate of the second fluid into the second inlet.

摘要: A modular hydraulic intensification system includes a housing configured to be deployed within a subsea landing string. The modular hydraulic intensification system also includes multiple hydraulic intensifiers positioned within the housing, wherein each hydraulic intensifier includes a first chamber configured to fluidly couple to a hydraulic fluid supply and a second chamber configured to fluidly couple to one or more landing string valves within a lower portion of the subsea landing string. The modular hydraulic intensification system further includes a shuttle valve fluidly coupled to the respective second chambers of the multiple hydraulic intensifiers, wherein the shuttle valve is configured to enable flow of an output fluid across the shuttle valve from the respective second chambers of the multiple hydraulic intensifiers and to block backflow of the output fluid across the shuttle valve toward the respective second chambers of the multiple of hydraulic intensifiers.

摘要: A pressure exchanger includes a rotor including rotor ducts extending parallel to an axis, a first end cover disposed at a first side of the rotor, and a second end cover disposed at a second side of the rotor. The rotor is configured to rotate about the axis, communicate first fluid and second fluid through the rotor ducts, control pressure of the first fluid or the second fluid discharging from the rotor, and allow a least a portion of the first fluid to contact the second end cover to thereby reduce or eliminate a dead volume inside of the rotor. The second fluid includes a flush volume that passes through the rotor ducts.
