Abstract:
A real-time image generator is disclosed. A real-time image generator may include a first block extracting only a luminance component having a saturation, hue, and value domain from red, green and blue values of an image. A second block outputs a log summation value and pixel count value with respect to a luminance component of an overall image by using the extracted luminance component and a natural log value. A third block calculates a luminance average value of the image by using the natural log summation value and the pixel count value outputted in the second block, the third block generating a tone mapping look up table including a tone mapping operator (Ld) for each luminance range to obtain a final output image using the calculated luminance average value. The third block outputs a tone mapped red, green and blue value by multiplying a corresponding tone mapping operator (Ld) of the tone mapping look up table by a red, green and blue value of the input image.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus to reconstruct high-frequency components of an input audio signal. The apparatus includes a frequency inverter to invert the frequency spectrum of the input audio signal, a band pass filter which filters out the higher frequency components of the input audio signal, a converter which shifts the frequency spectrum of the filtered signal to create a correction signal, and an adder which adds the correction signal to the input audio signal to obtain a reconstructed audio signal.
Abstract:
A channel-changing method is disclosed. The method includes receiving broadcast signals consisting of multiple packets, extracting frames using packet-identification information on the packets, and storing the extracted frames by channels, and outputting frames corresponding to the channel requested by a user among the stored frame.
Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling devices in one or more home networks is provided. The apparatus includes an authentication unit, a control message generation unit, a control message transmission unit, a response message reception unit, and an information management unit. The authentication unit performs authentication with one or more relay devices each connected to a plurality of devices through a network. The control message generation unit generates a control message in response to a user input. The control message transmission unit transmits the generated control message to a device selected by the user from among the plurality of devices. The response message reception unit receives a response message responding to the transmitted control message. The information management unit manages information about the relay devices and the plurality of devices.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for outputting data by using information in a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag are provided. The data output method includes: receiving a response signal, including an address of a server having data on at least one or more items, from an RFID tag providing a function for identifying an arbitrary object by using a radio frequency; requesting the server having the data on at least one or more items among the items to provide the data, based on the address of the server included in the response signal; and outputting data corresponding to a response to the request. By doing so, a large amount of data that cannot be stored in an RFID tag due to insufficient memory capacity of the RFID tag can be output to users.
