摘要: A method for initiating payment transactions from a payment terminal application on a mobile electronic device may include displaying, on a display screen of the mobile electronic device, a first indicia corresponding to a wireless communication antenna location of the mobile electronic device, receiving, at the wireless communication antenna of the mobile electronic device, a first signal from an antenna located in the payment instrument, the first signal received at a first time, receiving, at the wireless communication antenna of the mobile electronic device, a second signal from the antenna located in the payment instrument, the second signal received at a second time later than the first time, determining a difference in a signal strength between the first and second signals, and displaying, on the display screen of the mobile electronic device, a second indicia based on the determined difference in signal strength.

摘要: A contactless transaction terminal and method for interacting with a payment enabled mobile device to permit access to a location or to a service. The contactless transaction terminal includes a processor, a polling signal generator operably connected to the processor, an NFC circuit operably connected to the polling signal generator, and a receiver operably connected to the NFC circuit and to a data recovery circuit that is operably connected to the processor. Also included is a storage device operably connected to the processor. The storage device stores program instructions which when executed cause the processor to generate, via the polling signal generator, short-distance radio signals including at least three polling signals; emit, via the NFC circuit, the at least three polling signals at frequent intervals for detection by a payment-enabled mobile device; receive at least one of a Type A or Type B signal from the payment enabled mobile device; and permit access to at least one of a location or service.

摘要: Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for using a vehicle as a payment device. Various aspects may include receiving a selection of a stored financial card or financial account at a vehicle head unit. The selected financial card or financial account may be transmitted to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for making a payment by transmitting a tokenized card number to the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted over a very short-range communication link to ensure that the transmission is secure. For example, electronic circuitry may be attached to the exterior of the vehicle, where the electronic circuitry may be within a threshold distance (e.g. one inch, three inches, six inches, one foot, three feet, etc.) of the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted from the vehicle head unit to the electronic circuitry and then to the POS terminal.

摘要: In a system for verifying transactions, when a user with a portable communication device nears a resource provider location, the portable communication device provides an indication to a transaction processing system of its proximity to the location. The portable communication device then provides a universally unique identifier (UUID) of a base station of the resource provider to the transaction processing system, which generates a hash using the UUID and a primary account number (PAN) of a portable transaction device that is associated with the portable communication device. When the user conducts a transaction with the portable transaction device at the provider, the provider generates a separate hash from the UUID and the PAN and sends the hash to the transaction processing system, A match between the hashes is taken into account as a positive indicator that the transaction is not fraudulent and the resource provider is complying with the system.

摘要: Systems and methods for securely generating and printing documents are disclosed. For example, processor(s) of a computer system may receive information for the document from a computing device through a network, verify the information for the document, and upon verification, generate document generation data using at least a portion of the information for the document. The document generation data may include document metadata that enables generation of an image of the document and/or the image of the document. Upon the processor(s) verifying first authentication information of a first code associated with a printing device received from the computing device through the network and second authentication information of a second code associated with the computing device received from the printing device through the network, the processor(s) may transmit the document generation data to the printing device through the network, and cause the printing device to print the image of the document.

Specifically, a customer of a merchant website in the electronic commerce environment is provided a universal payment interface in response to the customer's request to pay. The universal payment interface retrieves a proprietary token from the customer. This proprietary token is a mobile device-based token that is provided by a provider associated with the mobile device. The universal payment interface requests a determination from the provider as to whether the proprietary token is valid, and the payment is verified based on the determination from the provider.
