Abstract: The invention provides an optical film comprising a transparent support with an antireflection layer substantially conformed in shape to the surface underlying the layer, the antireflection layer containing a binder polymer having dispersed polymer particles which are nanovoided so as to have a surface area greater than 50 m2/gm and which fill 64% or less of the layer volume. The film provides improved anti-reflection without the expected increase in transmission haze.
