Abstract:
A card edge connector (100) includes an insulative housing, a set of contacts (2) retained in the insulative housing and an ejector (3). The insulative housing has a central slot (12) and at least one tower portion (13). The tower portion includes a pair of outer walls (131) and a receiving slot (135) formed between the outer walls. Each outer wall has a ladder with a circular hole (1312) formed therein. The ejector has a pair of spindles (312) received in the circular holes and a pair of standoffs (313). Each standoff has a horizontal surface (3131) abutting against a corresponding horizontal resisting surface (1314) formed on the ladder so as to make centers of the spindle and the circular hole overlap when the ejector rotates inwardly.
Abstract:
A method and system modify a rasterized digital image to reduce registration artifacts, the image having a black plane and a color plane by determining if a pixel is part of a connected black region and if the pixel is part of a connected color region. It is determined if the pixel is part of a connected black region and a connected color region that are contiguous. A dilation operation is performed on the color plane value of the pixel if the pixel is part of a connected black region and a connected color region that are contiguous.
Abstract:
A method, system and data structure for providing a 3+1 layer MRC image, including a text layer. The text layer includes pixel data corresponding to text in an image and may be assigned a predetermined value for a particular color. According to one or more embodiments, the 3+1 layer MRC image may be subject to clean-up processing to alter one or more of the layers, other than the text layer, based on the text layer pixel data. This clean-up processing reduces redundant information stored in the 3+1 layer MRC image and provides opportunities for file size reduction (i.e., data compression).
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method for detecting thin lines in image data. The method is performed by a processor to process contone image data. The processing includes thresholding a window of pixels using a first set of thresholds established in the contone domain, and then counting and thresholding the binary pixels using a second set of thresholds. The processing in the contone and binary domain are used to determine if a thin line exists and if a pixel of interest in the window is an edge pixel that is part of a thin line. The disclosed method produces better quality output images and reduces the addition of false lines in an image.
Abstract:
A card edge connector includes an elongated housing extending along a lengthwise direction thereof and having a pair of opposed side walls, and a central slot between the side walls. A plurality of contacts are retained in the housing and exposed to the central slot. A pair of ejector mechanisms are rotatable retained on two opposite ends of the housing. A pair of auxiliary insulators are attached to the ejector mechanisms, respectively. A tie wrap is located on the auxiliary insulators to urge the auxiliary insulators to prevent the ejector mechanisms from rotating.
Abstract:
A circuit for charging a battery pack includes a power converter and a charger controller. The power converter is operable for receiving an input power, and for providing a charging power for charging the battery pack. The power converter provides galvanic isolation between input circuitry and output circuitry of the circuit. The input circuitry shares a first ground potential with the input power, and the output circuitry shares a second ground potential with the charging power. The charger controller in the input circuitry includes a modulator for generating a driving signal to drive the power converter and control the charging power.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a processor-implemented method for processing image data comprising a plurality of pixels and system for performing the method. The method includes the following acts: determining at least one type of data represented by the plurality of pixels, determining, for each type of data, a number of pixels from the image data representing that type of data in the image data, and determining a compression scheme for compressing the image data based on a relative or absolute amount of each type of data in accordance with a predetermined scheme. The type of data may be determined by received input (e.g., user selected type and compression quality) or by analyzing its pixels and comparing it to thresholds. Basing the compression technique on the data type allows for better selection of a compression technique (e.g., MRC or JPEG), and thus greater image quality, compression ratios, and file size.
Abstract:
A method for producing an electronic annotated document including embedding annotation information into an electronic annotation object having image data including an annotation, and producing the electronic annotated document using pixel information from the electronic document and the electronic annotation object. The annotation embedded information may be used to select corresponding pixel information from one of the electronic annotated object and electronic document to be provided in the electronic annotated document. A system and tangible storage medium having machine-readable instructions for producing an electronic annotated document are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A card edge connector for mating with an electronic card includes an elongated housing, a number of contacts and a retainer retained to the housing. The housing has a pair of side walls, a central slot between the side walls and a first tower upwardly extending at one end thereof. The first tower defines a first U-shaped cavity downwardly extending from a top end thereof and a mounting slot upwardly extending from a lower end thereof and located at outside of the first cavity. The first cavity communicates with the central slot along a length direction of the housing to receive the electronic card. The retainer has a non-flexible fastening portion retained in the mounting slot and a flexible locking barb obliquely protruding into the first cavity from a top end of the fastening portion to lock with the electronic card.
Abstract:
