    Abstract: Communicating with law enforcement agencies using client devices that are associated with audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices are provided. In one embodiments, a method for a client device for preventing redundant calls to an emergency call center is provided, the method comprising: receiving, at the client device, a notification, along with video footage associated with the notification, about an event generated by an A/V recording and communication device, the video footage captured by a camera of the A/V recording and communication device; receiving a request for contacting the emergency call center; informing one or more backend devices, in communication with the client device and a home security monitoring center that monitors a security system, of the received request to suppress a potential redundant call to the emergency call center from the home security monitoring center; and contacting the emergency call center.

    Abstract: Monitoring and locating tracked objects using audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, a method for monitoring an object using a smart-home hub device in network communication with A/V recording and communication devices is provided, the method comprising: associating a tag having tag data compatible for use in a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) with at least one tracked object to be located when missing; activating the smart-home hub device to monitor the at least one tracked object on a premises by listening for the tag data transmitted by the tag; determining when the at least one tracked object has been removed from the premises using the tag data; and transmitting to a first client device, an alert upon a determination that the at least one tracked object has been removed from the premises.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for communicating in a network using parcel theft share signals in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device comprises: a camera configured to capture first image data of a drop-off zone; a communication module; and a processing module comprising: a processor; and a parcel theft deterrence application that configures the processor to: monitor a parcel in the drop-off zone, wherein the parcel is associated with parcel tracking data; determine that the parcel has been removed from the drop-off zone; generate a parcel theft share signal using the first image data and the parcel tracking data, wherein the parcel theft share signal includes a command to share the first image data with a network of users; and transmit the parcel theft share signal to the backend server using the communication module.

    Abstract: A wireless speaker device configured for use with a wireless A/V recording and communication device, such as a doorbell. The wireless speaker device, which includes a speaker, may connect to the user's local area network (LAN), such as a Wi-Fi network. The LAN is connected to a wide area network (WAN), such as the Internet and/or a public switched telephone network (PSTN). When the wireless A/V recording and communication device detects a visitor, it sends a first signal, via the LAN, to device backend server in the WAN. In response, the back-end server in the WAN transmits a second signal, via the LAN, to the wireless speaker device. The second signal to the wireless speaker device includes a command for the wireless speaker device to emit a tone through its speaker. The wireless speaker device then emits a tone through its speaker to alert the user that a visitor is at the wireless A/V recording and communication device.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to identify a previously-not-present stationary object within a sequence of image frames. A system determines a first frame of the plurality of image frames where an object is not within a field of view of the camera of the A/V device. The system then analyzes other frames to determine that the object becomes present and is stationary within the field of view of the camera. The system may identify a person approaching and moving away from the A/V device. The system may identify a stationary vehicle within and subsequently not within the field of view of the camera. The system may use identification of the parcel to generate a control signal that changes the operational mode of the A/V device to parcel protect mode.

    Abstract: The present application is directed to creating intrusion zones for security systems. For example, a network device may store data associated with an intrusion zone for an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device, the data indicating at least a conditional setting associated with the intrusion zone and at least one action that a security system is to perform based on the A/V recording and communication device detecting motion within the intrusion zone and the conditional setting being satisfied. The network device may then receive motion data from the A/V recording and communication device, the motion data indicating that the A/V recording and communication device detected the motion within the intrusion zone. Based on receiving the motion data, the network device may determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied and determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied. Based on the determinations, the network device may cause the security system to perform the at least one action, such as activating an alarm.
