Abstract:
A panel assembly for a suspended ceiling system, an adjustable corner bracket thereof, and a method of assembling such a panel assembly. The panel assembly may include a ceiling panel having a groove in its rear surface, a plurality of suspension bars disposed within the groove along the sides thereof, and a plurality of corner brackets disposed within the groove along the corners thereof. The corner brackets may include a first arm portion extending along a first arm axis and a second arm portion extending along a second arm axis. The corner brackets may be adjustable to alter an angle measured between the first and second arm axes so that the corner brackets may be used in different grooves having different shapes.
Abstract:
An overhead grid assembly for a suspended ceiling system and a bracket member thereof. The overhead grid assembly may include first and second support members having first and second longitudinal axes that are arranged in an intersecting manner to form a grid. The bracket member may include a first part having a first channel and a second part having a second channel. The bracket member is arranged to maintain the first and second support members in a desirable orientation relative to each other. Thus, a portion of the first support member may nest within the first channel and a portion of the second support member may nest within the second channel. The first and second parts of the bracket assembly may be rotatable relative to one another to ensure that the bracket assembly can be coupled to the first and second support members regardless of their relative orientation.
Abstract:
An end panel bracket useful with a building panel system is provided. The end panel bracket comprises a base, a middle portion extending from the base, a shelf extending from the middle portion, a notch, and a ledge.
Abstract:
A building panel system is provided that includes a perimeter frame; a main beam attached to the perimeter frame; a carrier attached to the main beam, the carrier having a plurality of identical hook members, each of the hook members having a protruding hooking portion on only a first side of the hook member, and a non-hooking portion on a second side of the hook member, the second side being opposite the first side; and a plurality of panels removably attached to the carrier, each of the panels being attached to the carrier by engaging one of the hooking portions.

Abstract:
A connection assembly for mounting a ceiling panel to a grid support, including a saddle bracket for use in the same and a ceiling system incorporating the same. The connection assembly may comprise a mounting bracket assembly including a resilient element and a mounting bracket and a saddle bracket having stepped support flange. When coupled together the mounting bracket and the stepped support flange of the saddle bracket are in contact with one another and a flange portion of a strut of the support grid is sandwiched between and in contact with each of the mounting bracket and the stepped support flange.
Abstract:
A grid mounting system for a suspended ceiling system in one embodiment includes a support structure and a mounting bracket coupled to the support structure. An elongated first grid member is pivotably coupled to the mounting bracket about a pivot axis defined by a pivot member. The first grid member is movable about the pivot axis in a plurality of angular mounting positions. In one embodiment, the grid mounting system further includes a second grid member which may be pivotably or fixedly coupled to the mounting bracket. The support structure may be a wall or perimeter trim bracket attached to the wall in some installations.
Abstract:
A ceiling system having a perimeter frame; a grid configured to support a plurality of substrates; and a plurality of bracket assemblies coupling the grid to the perimeter frame, the plurality of bracket assemblies adjustable between a plurality of states in which the grid is supported at a different height relative to the perimeter frame in each of the plurality of states.
Abstract:
Described herein is a ceiling system in one embodiment includes a grid support member, ceiling panel, and grid hanger configured to support the grid support member in a suspended manner from an overhead structural support. The grid hanger includes a mounting bracket configured for attachment to the structural support and a hanger member. The hanger member is adjustable in a plurality of selectable mounting positions relative to the mounting bracket, thereby allowing the mounted height of the grid support member to be adjusted in the field. In some embodiment, the hanger member is further angularly adjustable relative to the mounting bracket to avoid installation obstacles. Locking elements are provided to secure the hanger member in the selected mounting position. In one embodiment, the grid support member may have a T-shaped cross section.
