Abstract:
Various embodiments include an interlock arrangement that may be used to attach a lens barrel to a lens carrier of a camera. In some embodiments, the interlock arrangement may restrict movement of the lens barrel relative to the lens carrier along at least an optical axis. In various examples, the interlock arrangement may include one or more grooves and one or more protrusions. For instance, a groove may be defined by the lens barrel or the lens carrier, and a protrusion may extend from the lens barrel or the lens carrier to at least partially into the groove. In some cases, the interlock arrangement may include an adhesive that at least partially fills gaps within the interlock arrangement between the lens barrel and the lens carrier. According to some embodiments, the interlock arrangement may include one or more recesses that provide inlets for the adhesive to be introduced to the gaps within the interlock arrangement.
Abstract:
A Lorentz actuator mechanism, which controls the motion of a mobile component relative to a static component, includes a flat coil assembly which is physically coupled to the mobile component in a magnetic field of one or more magnets and is configured to adjust a position of the mobile component, relative to the static component, based at least in part upon Lorentz forces. The flat coil assembly includes at least one conductor element, at least partially bounded by a set of insulator elements within an interior of the flat coil assembly, which forms a coil structure, within the interior of the flat coil assembly, which is configured to generate the Lorentz forces based at least in part upon an electrical current through the at least one conductor element.
Abstract:
A camera module including a camera module carrier having a lens actuator attached thereto and at least two conductive carrier traces that are electrically connected to electrical contact points of the lens actuator. The camera module having a lens barrel connected to the camera module carrier, the lens barrel having a first conductive barrel trace and a second conductive barrel trace formed therein, the first conductive barrel trace and the second conductive barrel trace forming an alternating pattern of first contact regions and second contact regions along a top edge of the lens barrel and being electrically connected to respective ones of the at least two conductive carrier traces such that electrical signals can be routed between the camera module carrier and the lens barrel. The camera module further including an electronic device electrically connected to the lens actuator by the camera module carrier and the lens barrel.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, an image sensor mechanically coupled to a base of a camera module. A coil assembly is mechanically coupled to the base of the camera module. The coil assembly includes terminals for connections to respective ones of coils through leads routed through thin areas leading to coil housings. The coils include optical image stabilization coils mounted perpendicular to the image sensor on each of a plurality of faces of the camera actuator module.
