Abstract: A package for moving a platform in six degrees of freedom, is provided. The platform may include an optoelectronic device mounted thereon. The package includes an in-plane actuator which may be a MEMS actuator and an out-of-plane actuator which may be formed of a piezoelectric element. The in-plane MEMS actuator may be mounted on the out-of-plane actuator mounted on a recess in a PCB. The in-plane MEMS actuator includes a plurality comb structures in which fingers of opposed combs overlap one another, i.e. extend past each other's ends. The out-of-plane actuator includes a central portion and a plurality of surrounding stages that are connected to the central portion. The in-plane MEMS actuator is coupled to the out-of-plane Z actuator to provide three degrees of freedom to the payload which may be an optoelectronic device included in the package.

Abstract: A lens driving device contains at least one lens barrel, a housing for containing the at least one lens barrel therein, a support mechanism for supporting the at least one lens barrel so that the at least one lens barrel can be driven in a vertical direction, and a driving mechanism for providing driving force driving the at least one lens barrel. The support mechanism includes a first support portion fixedly provided in the housing, a second support portion provided on the at least one lens barrel, and a guide member held between the first support portion and the second support portion. Each of the first support portion and the second support portion is formed from magnetic material. The guide member is held between the first support portion and the second support portion by magnetic attraction force generated between the first support portion and the second support portion.

Abstract: A zoom lens assembly for periscope use which is effectively soundless in operation includes a lens barrel defined with a through hole, a plurality of optical lenses disposed within the through hole, and a focusing member disposed between any two of the plurality of optical lenses. The focusing member in a camera module includes a bottom plate, a cover plate, a piezoelectric element, and a variable transparent body. The variable transparent body is between the bottom plate and the cover plate, the piezoelectric element is disposed on a surface of the cover plate that faces away from the variable transparent body. Electricity fed to the piezoelectric element causes movement of the element which deforms the variable transparent body and changes the focal length of the camera module.

Abstract: The present embodiments relates to a lens driving device including: a housing; a bobbin disposed in the housing; a coil disposed on the bobbin; a first magnet which is disposed on the housing and faces the coil; a second magnet disposed on the bobbin; and a sensor which is disposed on the housing and faces the second sensor, wherein the sensor includes an upper surface, a lower surface disposed opposite the upper surface, an inner surface facing the second magnet, an outer surface disposed opposite the inner surface, and both lateral surfaces connecting the inner surface with the outer surface, the upper surface and the lower surface of the sensor are fixed to the housing, and one of the side surfaces of the sensor is opened.
