    摘要： A user friendly dispensing device for viscous materials has an applicator nozzle designed to dispense a bead of material from a squeeze-tube into cracks and corners by being dragged along a surface rather than being pushed. The device has a unique ergonomic shape allowing for ease of application and extrusion of viscous materials such as sealants and caulks squeezed out of the tube. The applicator nozzle is made of plastic; while plastic, a plastic laminate, or metal, is used to make the squeeze-tube.

    摘要： A fitment for a package is stamped out of polystyrene strips and then hot melt adhesive bonded to the package so that a tab portion of the fitment overlies an openable flap formed by a score line in the package. The package is opened by rotating the tab so that the forward portion of the tab pushes the openable flap into the container. Since the forward portion of the tab is adhesively bonded to the openable flap, when a frangible connection between the tab and base fractures, the openable flap and tab can be removed to thereby expose an opening in the package. Rotation of the tab is initiated by pushing downwardly on the forward portion of the tab in order to fracture the score line of the package.

    摘要： In a method of forming an irregular pattern of granules on an asphalt coated sheet, a flow of granules is discharged toward the sheet. The granules are deflected onto the sheet with a deflector having an irregular surface to form a granule deposit having an irregular pattern. In one embodiment of the method, the deflected granules are controlled with a shield. Apparatus for forming an irregular pattern of granules on an asphalt coated sheet includes a granule applicator for discharging a flow of granules, a deflector having an irregular surface for deflecting the granules, and optionally a shield for controlling the granules.
