Abstract: A driving method and a driving apparatus of a high dynamic range display screen, and a display screen. The driving method includes: acquiring image data to be displayed; determining a local backlight brightness of each region in a backlight module according to the image data to be displayed; adjusting pixel brightness corresponding to the image data to be displayed according to the local backlight brightness and a maximum backlight bright in the backlight module; and carrying out display according to the adjusted brightness and the determined local backlight brightness of each region.
