摘要: Methods and apparatus for enhancing optical images and parametric databases are disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, a method includes identifying an image and deconstructing the image into a frequency-based spatial domain representation utilizing a pyramidal data structure including a plurality of levels on a frequency-by-frequency basis. The method also includes modifying the frequency-based spatial domain representation to generate a modified frequency-based spatial domain representation, reconstructing an enhanced image from the modified frequency-based spatial domain representation, and returning the enhanced image. In an exemplary embodiment, an apparatus includes a deconstructor that deconstructs an image into a frequency-based spatial domain representation utilizing a pyramidal data structure including a plurality of levels on a frequency-by-frequency basis and a modifier that modifies the frequency-based spatial domain representation to generate a modified representation. The apparatus also includes a reconstructor that reconstructs an enhanced image from the modified representation and returns the enhanced image.

摘要: Objects within an image are assigned a semantic interest that is indicative of their importance to the image as a whole. The objects are detected automatically, and sub-images that span each of the objects are excerpted from the image. An image embedding is determined for each of the sub-images as well as for the whole image by using an image encoder implemented as a trained multi-modal neural network. The degree of similarity between the image embeddings of a sub-image and that of the whole image is used as a measure of the semantic importance of the object portrayed in the sub-image. Objects of high semantic importance comprise the semantic regions of interest of the image. Knowledge of such regions may be used to enhance and improve the efficiency of downstream image-processing tasks, such as image compression, pan and scan, and contrast enhancement.

摘要: A mechanism for reducing the appearance of tagged elements in a medical image. This is achieved by processing the medical image to generate a separate, suppression image that contains only the tagged elements. The medical image and the suppression image are then combined to reduce the appearance of the tagged elements in the medical image. This can be achieved through modification of the suppressed image, before the combination, and/or weighting of the medical image and the suppression image during combination.

摘要: The present disclosure provides systems, apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media that support multi-frame depth-of-field (MF-DOF) for deblurring background regions of interest (ROIs), such as background faces, that may be blurred due to a large aperture size or other characteristics of the camera used to capture the image frame. The processing may include the use of two image frames obtained at two different focus points corresponding to the multiple ROIs in the image frame. The corrected image frame may be determined by deblurring one or more ROIs of the first image frame using an AI-based model and/or local gradient information. The MF-DOF may allow selectively increasing a depth-of-field (DOF) of an image to provide focused capture of multiple regions of interest, without causing a reduction in aperture (and subsequently an amount of light available for photography) or background blur that may be desired for photography.

摘要: A medical scan header standardization system is operable to determine a plurality of counts for a plurality of entries of at least one of a standard set of fields for headers of a plurality of medical images. A standard set of header entries is determined for at least one of the standard set of fields based on including ones of the entries for the each of the standard set of fields with counts of the plurality of counts that compare favorably to a threshold. One of the standard set of header entries is selected to replace an entry of a field of a header of a medical image. A computer vision model is trained utilizing a training set of images that includes the medical image and the selected one of the standard set of header entries. Inference data for at least one new medical scan is generated based on utilizing the computer vision model.

摘要: A method includes: obtaining a plurality of view images; identifying a representative value from among difference values between values of a plurality of sub-pixels corresponding to a first position in the plurality of view images and an intermediate value of a bit range of a display; determining filtering strength corresponding to the representative value, based on a correspondence map indicating a correspondence relationship between filtering strength and a difference value between a value of a sub-pixel and the intermediate value; and applying a filter having the determined filtering strength to the plurality of sub-pixels corresponding to the first position, wherein a value resulting from applying the filter having the determined filtering strength to the plurality of sub-pixels corresponding to the first position is included in a range of sub-pixel values according to the bit range of the display.
