    Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device, and particularly to a backlight for a curved-surface liquid crystal display device and a curved-surface liquid crystal display device. The backlight comprises: a backplane which matches a curved-surface LCD display screen of the curved-surface liquid crystal display device; a supporting member which comprises a plurality of stepped surfaces parallel with a base plate of the backplane; and light sources which are arranged on each of the stepped surfaces, wherein the plurality of light sources form a curved surface projecting to one direction, and the projecting direction of the curved surface is the same as that of the curved-surface LCD display screen. Due to the stepped structure, the optical distribution of light sources along the curved surface is realized without bending mechanical structures and optical components of the backlight, and the fabrication difficulty of the backlight is reduced.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a light guide plate assembly. The light guide plate assembly includes a light guide plate and an optical coupling member attached to the light guide plate. The optical coupling member includes a plate-like part and a plurality of prism parts formed on the plate-like part. Each of the plurality of prism parts has a planar top surface, the top surface engaging with a light exiting surface of the light guide plate, and each of the plurality of prism parts has a reflective side surface which is configured to reflect incident light towards a light exiting surface of the optical coupling member through total reflection. The present disclosure further discloses a display apparatus including the said light guide plate assembly.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a light source, a backlight module and a display apparatus. The light source includes: a light emitting diode chip; and a fluorescent powder layer arranged to face towards the light emitting diode chip and configured to receive a first light emitted from the light emitting diode chip and to emit a second light with a wavelength different from that of the first light, wherein the light emitting diode chip and the fluorescent powder layer are moveable with respect to each other such that quantity of fluorescent powder in the fluorescent powder layer excited by the light emitted from the light emitting diode chip increases or decreases. In the above solution, the light emitting diode chip and the fluorescent powder layer are movable with respect to each other, so as to adjust color temperature of backlight conveniently.
