摘要: A method and arrangement of producing polymer comprising polymerizing in reactor having a top zone having a generally conical shape, a middle zone in direct contact with and below said top zone having a generally cylindrical shape, a bottom zone having a generally conical shape thereby polymerizing at least one olefin, in the presence of a polymerization catalyst and fluidization gas to obtain (i) a first stream comprising fluidization gas and particles of olefin polymer, (ii) a second stream comprising fluidization gas and agglomerates of olefin polymer, (iii) a third olefin polymer product stream, —directing the first stream comprising fluidization gas and olefin polymer particles to a series of at least three cyclones connected to the fluidized bed reactor, —separating agglomerates of olefin polymer from the second stream, withdrawing from the fluidized bed polymerization reactor the third olefin polymer product stream.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process and apparatus for producing alpha-olefin polymers in the presence of a polymerization catalyst in a continuously operated multistage polymerisation sequence, the process comprising the steps of (a) polymerizing an alpha-olefin monomer and optionally one or more alpha-olefin co-monomers in a slurry reactor in the presence of a hydrocarbon diluent or liquid monomer in a slurry phase to obtain an alpha-olefin polymer, the slurry phase having a first concentration of solids, (b) continuously withdrawing from the slurry reactor a polymer slurry containing polymer and a fluid phase, (c) concentrating at least a part of the polymer slurry by removing a part of the fluid phase to provide a 1st product stream comprising a concentrated slurry having a second solids concentration, which is higher than the first solids concentration, and a 2nd product stream mainly comprising the fluid phase, (d) polymerizing said 1st product stream in the presence of alpha-olefin monomers and optionally one or more alpha-olefin co-monomers in a first gas phase reactor (GPR1) arranged downstream of said slurry reactor to obtain a 1st alpha-olefin product stream, (e) polymerizing a 3rd product stream, withdrawn from said slurry reactor, in the presence of alpha-olefin monomers and optionally one or more alpha-olefin co-monomers in a second gas phase reactor (GPR2) to obtain a 2nd alpha-olefin product stream.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing alpha-olefin polymers in a multistage polymerization process which includes at least two gas phase polymerization reactors, wherein unreacted gas withdrawn from the second gas phase polymerization reactor is compressed in a compressor and said compressed gas is fed via a conveying gas line into an outlet between a first outlet vessel downstream of the first gas phase polymerization reactor and said second gas phase polymerisation reactor. Such a process can alleviate problems of malfunction, disturbances or plugging of the transfer lines and enables higher productivity and considerable saving of energy and equipment cost. Moreover, the production of alpha-olefin polymers with varying and tailored properties is possible.

摘要: Described herein is a polymerization reactor system comprising at least one loop reactor and/or at least one transfer line, and further comprising at least one withdrawal valve, wherein the at least one withdrawal valve is mounted to a wall of a lower horizontal segment of the loop reactor and/or to a wall of the transfer line, at an angle α of more than 0° and equal to or less than 85°, determined from perpendicular to a tangent of the wall at the mounting position in flow direction of a slurry in the loop reactor and/or in the transfer line. The valve piston of the at least one withdrawal valve comprises a valve plate at an end directed to the at least one loop reactor and/or at an end directed to the at least one transfer line, the valve plate being shaped according to an inner wall of the at least one loop reactor and/or according to an inner wall of the at least one transfer line such that the valve piston is flush with the inner wall of the at least one loop reactor and/or with the inner wall of the at least one transfer line in a closed position of the withdrawal valve. By using such a withdrawal valve, a limitation of the effective withdrawal area can be avoided or at least be reduced such that the liquid slurry can efficiently be withdrawn and the risk of plugging is reduced. Further disclosed is a method for producing an olefin polymer in the inventive polymerization reactor system.
