Abstract: A method may include: providing bio waste stream wherein the bio waste stream comprises at least one bio waste selected from the group consisting of palm oil mill effluent, soapstock, and combinations thereof; introducing the bio waste effluent stream into a fluidized catalytic cracking unit; contacting the bio waste with a catalyst in the fluidized catalytic cracking unit; and cracking at least a portion of the bio waste stream to form cracked products that comprise a cracked product stream.

Abstract: A fluidized reactor system includes a reactor containing a fluidized bed situated above a distributor plate arranged within the reactor, a fluidizing gas fed into the fluidized bed via the distributor plate to cause uniform fluidization of the fluidized bed and promote creation of solid polymeric granules, and a valve assembly penetrating a sidewall of the reactor to remove a mixture of the fluidizing gas and the solid polymeric granules from the fluidized bed. The valve assembly is coupled to the sidewall at a downward angle relative to the sidewall such that an upward-facing opening of the valve assembly extends into the fluidized bed.

Abstract: A system and process for recovering a metal containing organic and/or inorganic salt solution from a lithium-containing battery material, and chemicals thereof is disclosed. The process includes leaching the lithium-containing battery material in a leaching solution comprising water and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) to obtain a leachate solution, adding metal hydroxide (Me(OH)x) to the leachate solution, titrating the leachate solution with an aqueous acid solution to maintain the leachate solution to be at a pH 7.0 or less and obtaining a precipitate comprising metal sulfate (MeySO4), and separating solid forms of metal sulfate (MeySO4) from the leachate solution and acquiring the metal-containing organic and/or inorganic salt solution that can be reused in batteries in a battery manufacturing process

Abstract: Provided is a method for converting waste plastic pyrolysis oil into light olefins with a high yield. The method includes (1) putting waste plastic pyrolysis oil into a reactor; (2) allowing the waste plastic pyrolysis oil to react in the reactor in the presence of a catalytic cracking catalyst containing (a) a compound of an alkali metal or a compound of an alkaline earth metal and (b) a zeolite to form a product; and (3) recovering light olefins by separating the catalytic cracking catalyst and oil from the product obtained in step (2).

The system can include at least one outlet line in fluid communication with the fluidized bed reactor and configured to allow removal of outlet flow which comprises the adsorbate and/or other contaminants from the fluidized bed reactor.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing the processing of hydrocarbons in a FCC unit by introduction of the coked FCC catalyst from the FCC reactor and a renewable feedstock to the FCC regenerator to facilitate regeneration of the coked FCC catalyst. The renewable feedstock can contain biomass-derived pyrolysis oil. The biomass-derived pyrolysis oil and coke from the coked FCC catalyst are oxidized by oxygen to provide a regenerated catalyst that is recycled to the FCC reactor.

Abstract: A reactor fluid supply system, a reactor system comprising such a fluid supply system, a method of supplying fluid into a reactor, and a method of operating a reactor system are provided. Preferably, the reactor system comprises a fluidised bed pyrolysis or combustion reactor and a fluid injector. The injector may comprise an internal flow passage extending from an inlet to an outlet, and have a first section including the inlet and a first portion of the passage and a second section including the outlet and a second portion of the passage. There may be a temperature regulator for controlling fluid temperature in the second section of the injector, the regulator comprising a cooling fluid jacket surrounding the second portion of the internal flow passage. The second section of the injector may be located inside the reactor so that the outlet of the injector is positioned in the fluidised bed of the reactor.

Abstract: The present invention discloses process and apparatus for the production of light olefins from their respective alkanes by catalytic dehydrogenation, where in the dehydrogenation reaction is carried out in multiple semi-continuously operated fluidized bed isothermal reactors, connected to a common regenerator and wherein the process is carried out in a sequence of steps in each cycle i.e., entry of hot regenerated catalyst, pre-treatment with reducing gas, dehydrogenation reaction, stripping, transfer of catalyst to regenerator and catalyst regeneration. Process cycle in each reactor starts at different times such that the catalyst inventory in the regenerator is invariable with time.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and apparatus for producing alpha-olefin polymers in the presence of a polymerization catalyst in a continuously operated multistage polymerisation sequence, the process comprising the steps of (a) polymerizing an alpha-olefin monomer and optionally one or more alpha-olefin co-monomers in a slurry reactor in the presence of a hydrocarbon diluent or liquid monomer in a slurry phase to obtain an alpha-olefin polymer, the slurry phase having a first concentration of solids, (b) continuously withdrawing from the slurry reactor a polymer slurry containing polymer and a fluid phase, (c) concentrating at least a part of the polymer slurry by removing a part of the fluid phase to provide a 1st product stream comprising a concentrated slurry having a second solids concentration, which is higher than the first solids concentration, and a 2nd product stream mainly comprising the fluid phase, (d) polymerizing said 1st product stream in the presence of alpha-olefin monomers and optionally one or more alpha-olefin co-monomers in a first gas phase reactor (GPR1) arranged downstream of said slurry reactor to obtain a 1st alpha-olefin product stream, (e) polymerizing a 3rd product stream, withdrawn from said slurry reactor, in the presence of alpha-olefin monomers and optionally one or more alpha-olefin co-monomers in a second gas phase reactor (GPR2) to obtain a 2nd alpha-olefin product stream.
