    摘要: An oligomeric aromatic pigment dispersant is the reaction product of a diisocyanate and a diol or diamine. The oligomeric dispersant is comprised of at least 25 weight percent of a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of from 3 to 15, AR is a residual aromatic connecting group, DI is a residual organic connecting group, CAP is a capping moiety, and X is a residual connecting group selected from the group consisting of: ##STR2## The oligomeric aromatic dispersant has at least 3 aromatic "heads" and 2 aliphatic or rosin "tails".

    摘要: Diarylide yellow pigment compositions comprising the reaction product of tetrazotized 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine coupled into an acetoacetarylide, and, a ketimine formed by the reaction of a primary amine and an acetoacetarylide. The ketimine-containing diarylide yellow pigment compositions have improved color strength, improved transparency and contain essentially no free primary amine. Printing inks manufactured with the diarylide yellow pigment compositions of this invention have increased color strength, increased transparency, decreased degradation of publication gravure ink vehicles and decreased acidic fountain solution emulsification in offset ink printing processes.

    摘要: Novel red azo pigment--fortified latex compositions for use in printing inks. The novel pigment compositions have superior burn-out resistance and color strength. The novel pigment compositions are made by coupling orthanilic acid derivatives (including optionally, disulfonated amine derivatives) with B-napthal precipitating the metal salts and mixing with fortified latex dispersions. The fortified latex dispersion comprises a dispersed polymer phase in a dissolved polymer phase. The dispersed polymer is preferably a high molecular weight copolymer while the soluble polymer is preferably a low molecular weight acrylic copolymer containing carboxyl group functionality. The novel pigment compositions have superior color strength.
