Abstract: An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus includes: a transmission and reception circuitry configured to perform, via an ultrasound probe, a first ultrasound scan on a first region in a subject who has a contrast agent injected and a second ultrasound scan on at least a part of a second region in the subject overlapping with the first region, the second ultrasound scan including transmitting and receiving two types of ultrasound waves of which one or both of amplitude levels and phases are different from each other; and processing circuitry configured to generate a blood flow image corresponding to one frame by implementing a Doppler method on the basis of a data sequence including reception data obtained from the first ultrasound scan performed multiple times in mutually the same position within the first region to have the second ultrasound scan performed in-between and to generate a contrast-enhanced image based on a result of the second ultrasound scan performed at least one time.

The processing circuitry forms a first transmission beam in a plurality of directions belonging to a first group, forms at least one first reception beam, forms a second transmission beam in a plurality of directions belonging to a second group, after an elapse of a time from performing a scan for the first group, forms at least one second reception beam, applies a wall filter to reception signals obtained by the first and the second reception beams, calculates bloodstream information based on the filtered reception signals, and generates image data based on the calculated bloodstream information.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes a transmitter/receiver and processing circuitry. The transmitter/receiver sequentially transmits a first transmission beam group and a second transmission beam group and receives at least one reception beam for each transmission beam, via an ultrasound probe having a plurality of transducers arranged along an azimuth direction and an elevation direction. The processing circuitry combines a first reception beam based on a first transmission beam included in the first transmission beam group and a second reception beam based on a second transmission beam included in the second transmission beam group. Transmission beams that are adjacent to each other in the azimuth direction or the elevation direction belong to transmission beam groups that are different from each other.

Abstract: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes image processing circuitry. The image processing circuitry acquires, based on a result of ultrasound scanning performed on a subject, blood flow information including a value that indicates a blood flow at each position within the subject and tissue property information including a value that indicates tissue properties at each position within the subject. The image processing circuitry generates a first image in which a difference in value in the blood flow information is represented by at least a difference in hue and a second image in which a difference in value in the tissue property information is represented by a difference other than the difference in hue. The image processing circuitry generates a combined image by combining the first image and the second image.

Abstract: A method and system enable to-be-processed medical image data and its corresponding noise characteristic information to be normalized to resemble noise characteristic information of training data used to train at least one neural network for at least one ultrasound data acquisition mode. After normalizing, this processed medical image data is input into the trained neural network for producing output data used for generating cleaner images. Noise characteristic information can be used directly in training a neural network, generating a trained neural network that can handle medical image data with various noise characteristics.
