Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a fiber management structure including a splice tray. The splice tray includes a front side and a back side. The fiber management structure includes a first attachment module that mounts by a location-selectable connection to the splice tray at a selected mounting location. The selected mounting location being one of a plurality of different mounting locations at which the first attachment module can be mounted to the splice tray. The first attachment module includes a fiber containment wall that projects upwardly from the front side of the splice tray when the first attachment module is mounted to the splice tray.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a tool for attaching a line having pre-coated hot melt adhesive to a structure. The tool includes a heating device including a heating element, a working tip that mounts on a tip of the heating element, and a a line guide sleeve that mounts on the heating element axially adjacent to the working tip.
Abstract:
A fiber management tray is described including a releasable connection interface. The tray can include a base defining at least one component mounting location having a structure for mounting optical components. The structure may define a first side and an opposite second side. The structure may also define a first retention opening and a second retention opening that extend through the structure from the first side to the second side. The first retention opening can include a T-shaped slot having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the T-shaped slot may have a larger cross-dimension than a cross-dimension of the second portion of the T-shaped slot. The second retention opening may have a first portion in which a flexible cantilever is positioned and a second portion. The second portion of the second retention opening may have a smaller cross-dimension than a cross-dimension of the first portion of the second retention opening. The flexible cantilever can include a release member that projects outwardly in a first direction from the first side of the structure.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to sealing arrangements for sealing locations where cables enter/exit enclosures. The sealing arrangements can include first and second cable sealing modules each including a cable sealing surface. The cable sealing surfaces of the first and second cable sealing modules oppose and contact one another at a cable pass-through sealing interface. The sealing arrangements can be adapted to enhance cable diameter range-taking, sealant conformability, and/or sealant recovery from deformation.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses and methods for efficiently manufacturing telecommunications enclosure customized to meet customer needs. The system can include a terminal housing and port units bondable to the terminal housing.
Abstract:
Devices, assemblies, and methods for anchoring portions of telecommunications cables, including protective sheaths and strength members. In some examples, the devices and assemblies are adjustable to accommodate different sized cables and cable components. According to one embodiment, an assembly includes two members that cooperate via a ratcheting mechanism to adjust to different cable diameters, the assembly further including features adapted to anchor strength member yarn of a cable.
Abstract:
A telecommunications tray is presented herein. In some examples, the telecommunications tray assembly includes a tower structure and at least one hinged tray rotatably mounted to the tower structure. In one aspect, the hinged tray is rotatable between at least two indexed positions, wherein the hinged tray is positively retained in the at least two indexed positions by a position retention structure. In some examples, the position retention structure is a transversely mounted leaf spring that is received into recesses of the tower structure.
Abstract:
A sealed stranded wire assembly includes one or more stranded wires. The one or more stranded wires includes a solid portion formed on or attached to the length of the one or more stranded wires. The solid portion prevents liquid, dust, or other contaminants from traveling along the length of the one or more stranded wires through voids within the one or more stranded wires.
Abstract:
A mounting system for suspending an enclosure from an aerial strand at a location near a pole is disclosed. The mounting system includes a hanger arrangement configured to clamp to the aerial strand with the enclosure hung below the aerial strand at a location where a center of gravity of the enclosure is laterally offset from the aerial strand such that a weight of the enclosure generates torque about the aerial strand. The mounting system includes a rod for securement to the hanger arrangement and to the pole for transferring the torque generated by the weight of the enclosure from the hanger arrangement to the pole such that the enclosure is prevented from rotating about the aerial strand toward a position where the center of gravity of the enclosure is located directly beneath the aerial strand.
Abstract:
A fiber optic connector storage apparatus for storing a fiber optic connector having an exposed ferrule includes a housing and a dust cap portion. The housing defines a socket to receive and hold the fiber optic connector. The dust cap portion is integral with the housing and is configured to receive and protect the exposed ferrule when the fiber optic connector is inserted into the socket.
