    摘要: A method of operating a hearing device is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of: sensing an acoustic signal and providing an input acoustic signal, sensing a magnetic signal and providing a input magnetic signal, selecting one of the input acoustic signal and the input magnetic signal as an information signal, wherein the input magnetic signal or the input acoustic signal is selected as the information signal after a signal detection process has determined a probability being above a preset value, said probability being indicative of a presence of audio information in the input magnetic signal or the input acoustic signal, respectively, and processing the information signal and providing an output signal to a user of the hearing device. In addition, corresponding hearing devices are also disclosed.

The hearing device comprises a microphone (1), a transfer function (2) and a receiver (3), wherein the transfer function (2) defines relation between an input signal (12) of the hearing device and an output signal (13, 13′) of the hearing device. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of estimating an external transfer function (21) of an external feedback path (11) defined by sound traveling from the receiver (3) to the microphone (1), estimating the input signal (12′) having no feedback components of the external feedback path (11) using an auxiliary signal (15), which does not comprise feedback components of the external feedback path (11), and using the estimated input signal (14) for estimating the external transfer function (21) of the external feedback path (11).

The method comprising the steps of estimating a estimated feedback transfer function (F′) characterizing a feedback signal path (15) starting at a receiver (11) and ending at a microphone (1) of the hearing device, while the hearing device is inserted into an ear of a hearing device user, and adapting the estimated feedback transfer function (F′) as a result of a changing feedback signal path (15) by applying an adaptive algorithm. The invention is characterized by determining the maximum gain from the estimated feedback transfer function (F′), in particular by coefficients of the estimated feedback transfer function.

The method of operating a binaural hearing system (1) comprises the steps of providing at least one interaural transfer function (30a;30b); performing noise reduction in dependence of said at least one interaural transfer function. Preferably, said noise reduction means (5a;5b) comprises two binaural Wiener filters (5a,5b) each having a cost function comprising at least one term describing a desired interaural transfer function, wherein said at least one interaural transfer function provided by said ITF means (3a,3b) is assigned to said at least one term. Preferably, said cost function comprises a speech distortion term, a residual noise term and two ITF terms for preserving the interaural transfer functions of speech and noise components. This allows to preserve binaural cues while reducing noise.
