Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a switchable transmission mechanism for a base station antenna. The switchable transmission mechanism includes a plurality of axially drivable members, each of which is mounted on a corresponding one of a plurality of transmission rods arranged in parallel and is configured to be connected with a corresponding one of a plurality of phase shifters in the base station antenna; a transmission unit including a first gear assembly and a second gear assembly transmissibly connected to the first gear assembly, where the second gear assembly is engageable with or dis-engageable from any one of the transmission rods via a rod adapter that is movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position along an axial direction; and a switch unit configured to move the second gear assembly along a lateral direction perpendicular to the axial direction when the second gear assembly is disengaged from the transmission rod, so that the switchable transmission mechanism can selectively drive any one of the transmission rods.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a transmission mechanism for a base station antenna, and a base station antenna including the transmission mechanism. The transmission mechanism comprises: a worm gear unit, which is arranged on the first side of the reflector of the base station antenna and includes a worm driven by a motor and a worm gear meshed with the worm; a bevel gear pair unit, which is arranged on the second side of the reflection plate opposite to the first side and includes a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear meshed with each other, wherein the first bevel gear and the worm gear are coaxially installed on a first drive shaft; and at least one rack-and-pinion unit arranged on the second side of the reflection plate, wherein each rack-and-pinion unit includes a third gear and a rack element meshed with each other, all the third gears and the second bevel gears of the at least one rack-and-pinion unit are coaxially installed on a second drive shaft, and each rack element is fixed on the connecting rod of the phase shifter of the base station antenna for driving the connecting rod to move longitudinally. The transmission mechanism not only occupies a small total volume, but can also be installed in different spaces dispersedly, so that it can better adapt to the trend that the inner space of the base station antenna is getting smaller and more dispersed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mounting assembly and a mounting kit comprising such a mounting assembly for a base station antenna, wherein the mounting assembly has first and second connection parts, an effective length therebetween is related to the mechanical tilt of the base station antenna, and the effective length is continuously adjustable. The mounting assembly comprises a connecting rod mechanism having a first pair of connecting rods, a second pair of connecting rods, and a threaded connection device, wherein the threaded connection device connects two relatively movable hinged connection parts, the distance between the two hinged connection parts can be continuously adjusted by screwing the threaded connection device, so that the effective length can be continuously adjusted to realize continuous adjustment of the mechanical tilt of the base station antenna.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cable lead-out system, configured to route at least one cable from inside of a device to outside of the device, wherein the cable lead-out system comprises: a first pressing piece having at least one through hole for leading out the cable; a second pressing piece having at least one through hole for leading out the cable; and a seal having a base sandwiched between the first pressing piece and the second pressing piece with two opposite sides thereof, and being deformable when being pressed by the first pressing piece and the second pressing piece, having the base comprising at least one through hole for leading out the cable, and at least one protrusion that protrudes from at least one of the two sides of the base, and each of the at least one protrusion being disposed around a through hole of the base, whereby the through hole of the base passes throughout the protrusion, wherein each of the at least one protrusion completely passes through a corresponding through hole of the first pressing piece or a corresponding through hole of the second pressing piece. The cable lead-out system can protect the cable sheaths from being scratched by metal parts.

Abstract: Base station antennas include a reflector, a first array of cross-polarized radiating elements that are mounted to extend forwardly from the reflector, and a parasitic assembly. The parasitic assembly includes a base that is mounted on the reflector, a horizontal component shaping element, and a forwardly projecting member that projects forwardly from the base that is coupled between the base and the horizontal component shaping element. The horizontal component shaping element may extend substantially parallel to a plane defined by the reflector and may include a proximate side that is directly connected to the forwardly projecting member and a distal side that is opposite the proximate side. The distal side of is only electrically connected to the reflector through the proximate side.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sealing member for a base station antenna and a base station antenna comprising the same as well as a method and device for manufacturing the sealing member. The sealing member (2) is flexible and resilient and is configured to form a seal between an open end (5) of a radome (3) and an end cap (1) of the base station antenna. The sealing member is an elongated sealing strip having two ends, wherein the two ends of the sealing member are lappable with each other, and the sealing member has a groove extending over its entire length, which groove is defined by two side limbs and a bottom limb connecting the two side limbs of the sealing member, wherein the groove is configured to engage with an edge of the open end (5) of the radome, and wherein the sealing member is configured to be received in an annular recess of the end cap (1) and isolate an interior of the radome (3) from the environment. The sealing member can be manufactured cheaply and can be flexibly applied to base station antennas with different sizes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an actuator assembly for a base station antenna. The actuator assembly includes a plurality of actuators mounted side by side, a drive shaft, a drive gear configured to be axially movable relative to the drive shaft, and a moving device configured to axially move the drive gear relative to the drive shaft. Each actuator has a driven gear and an actuator element that is in transmission connection with the driven gear. The drive gear is configured for axial movement relative to the drive shaft, so as to engage with or disengage from the driven gear of any one of the actuators and configured to drive the one driven gear in engagement with the drive gear. The actuator assembly has a simple structure, a low height, a favorable PIM performance, and is expandable flexibly.
