Abstract: Embedded furniture systems include a wall having a recessed pocket, a furniture element hingedly connected to the wall and selectively moveable between a storage position in which the furniture element is vertically disposed in the pocket and a utility position in which the furniture element horizontally extends from the pocket, and a support structure hingedly connected to the furniture element and selectively positionable between an extended position in which the support structure protrudes substantially perpendicular to the furniture element and a retracted position in which the support structure extends substantially parallel to the furniture element. An illuminating mechanism illuminates a lighting element disposed in the support structure when the support structure is in the retracted position by bringing a contact element connected to the surface of the furniture element into communication with a circuit element connected to the surface of the support structure to complete an electrical circuit.

Abstract: A sliding door system (105) includes a track assembly (120) and a door (125) slidably connected to the track. Seals (245, 250, 605, 610, 300, 500) disposed about the door limit sound and/or infectious materials from passing thereby. One or more of the seals (245, 250) are disposed between the door and the track assembly. One or more other seals (605, 610) are disposed between the door and a wall to seal around the trailing end of the door. The system may also include a door dock (130) with one or more seals (300, 500) to seal around the leading end of the door. The system can also include a drop seal assembly (700) that selectively seals off a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.

Abstract: A reconfigurable wall hanger mounting system having a plurality of different types of interchangeable wall modules with different types of compatible connection components, each connection component being configured to align with another connection component at an interface. A channel is formed between two connection components in which a support rail or other accessory may be secured to support a ceiling. Another channel is defined by the connection component that can receive other accessories and accessory mounting mechanisms. A door-opening header module may be secured to a connection component so that a flush surface between the support rail, ceiling, and door-opening header module is created across the top of a door-opening in the reconfigurable wall system.

Abstract: Embedded furniture systems include a furniture assembly having a furniture stowage component and a furniture element extending from and moveably connected to the stowage component. The stowage component has a body with a furniture compartment recessed therein. The furniture element is selectively stowable in the compartment and deployable therefrom on a first side of the assembly. The assembly extends through an opening disposed in a wall component. The surface of the first side of the assembly is aligned with a first side of the wall and the covered portion of the body extends from an opposing second side of the wall. A concealing element is disposed about and substantially covers an exposed portion of the body on an opposing second side of the assembly. The concealing element includes a substantially hollow furniture component such that the covered portion of the body appears to be a piece of furniture.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for connecting one or more wall modules to structural components of a building. At least one implementation includes connections that can allow the wall module to couple to a structural wall. For instance, the wall module can extend away from an end of the structural wall. In particular, the wall module can have a frame that connects to the structural wall on at least one side face and one or more panels that connect to the frame to at least partially conceal the structural wall and the frame from a first vantage point. Accordingly, the structural wall together with one or more wall modules can divide the floor space of a building into one or more individual spaces.
